Enhulumi (Yoseba/Pfutsemi) Students’ Union (ESU) has expressed dismay over the resurfacing of NH-150 and alleged that the work done by BRO was ‘poor’.
The union in a press release stated that NH-150which passed in the middle of Enhulumi village in Phek district was constructed in January 2010 but deteriorated within two to three days of the resurfacing. Enhulumi (Yoseba/Pfutsemi) Students’ Union president Kerelhi Lohe in a press release stated that Border Roads Organization had recently carried out spate of works on NH-150 and patch works were carried out to cover up pot holes on the black topped road which connected Kohima and district headquarters of Phek and Kiphire.
The union questioned the technical resources and materials used for re-surfacing on NH-150 as it did not even last for a month.
Union alleged that “poor road show by BRO” had made citizens of Nagaland take the brunt of the torturous roads and would not let Border Road Organization “exploit the people of the state” but would approach other organisations and higher authority to intervene in the matter.
