Eastern Nagaland People’s Organization (ENPO), Eastern Nagaland Women’s Organization (ENWO) and Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) in a consultative meeting held on March 2 , resolved not to allow members of Nagaland Contractors and Suppliers Union (NCSU) to avail of any contract/supply work in Eastern Nagaland jurisdiction. A joint press release issued by ENPO president Mangko Phom, ENSF president Hawang T Wangsha and ENWO president Asangla A Cholong stated that the organizations were not against state government organizations /firms or individuals but the resolution was taken in interest of the Eastern Nagas. Further, any contractor /firm /union could carry out contract / supply work in Eastern Nagaland provided they were not registered with the NCSU. The release also informed the state government and relevant departments to immediately cancel all fresh contract and supply work tendered in favour of NCSU members under Eastern Nagaland jurisdiction.
