AIR, DD to broadcast spring NE festival DIMAPUR: All India Radio Kohima will be broadcasting North East spring festival daily from March 5 to 9at 9:30 a.m which will be simultaneously relayed by all North-East AIR stations. Station director N. Nakhro informed that special programme on the entire event of the NE spring festival will be put out in the national hook-up at 10 p.m on March 11 and excerpts will be included in the national Hindi cultural magazine programme’ Sanskrit Bharati’ on the same day and time. Meanwhile, Doordarshan will also telecast the North East spring festival on March 5 between 5:20 p.m. and 7 p.m. and between 5:30 and 7 p.m on March 6, 7 and 8, while the closing function on March 9 would be telecast between 5:20 p.m. and 7 p.m. Western Sumi Hoho meeting DIMAPUR: Western Sumi Hoho (WSH) has convened a meeting on March 8 at 9am at WSH office, Chekiye village Dimapur. WSH has requested all office bearers and executive members to attend the meeting. UBCA emergency meeting DIMAPUR: United Baptist Churches Association (UBCA), Nagaland North East India has convened an emergency meeting on March 6, 9am at office of UBC Balijan, near LRC Dimapur. UBCA has requested all women leaders of United Baptist Churches under UBCA to attend the meeting. Arms licence verification in Wokha, Zbto DIMAPUR: All arms licence holders (prohibited bore) issued under Wokha district after 1987 have been informed to produce arms licence with fire arms for verification on March 15 at Wokha police station, Wokha. Meanwhile, Arms license holders in Zunheboto district have been directed to report to DC Zunheboto with arms license within 15 days from the date of issue of this notice. DC Zunheboto T. Kiheto Sema informed that license will be cancelled on failing to adhere to the directive. DCC Tuensang meeting DIMAPUR: AICC secretary in-charge of Nagaland, Sanjay Bapana with president NPCC I. Imkong, CLP leader Tokheho Yepthomi will be visiting Tuensang on March 8 and will address the INC party meeting on March 9, 8 a.m at CKS meeting hall, Tuensang. All seven ACCC office bearers, frontal presidents, DCC members, PCC members and CLP members of Tuensang have been informed to reach the venue and report to DCC Tuensang. GMI camp for girls DIMAPUR: Generation Ministries India (GMI) will be organising Christian camp from March 23 to 27 at Life Spring Corner, Dimapur. Resource persons for the camp include Alongla Aier, Bambi Kevichusa Longchari, Menuo Keditsu, Bise Peseyie and Nimeno Liegise. GMI director Menuo Keditsu informed that forms would be available at GMI office, church Road, Dimapur. Prayer fasting programme DIMAPUR: Usutomi Union Dimapur (UUD) would be organizing prayer fasting programme on March 6 at Sumi Baptist Church Valley View, Nagarjan Dimapur at 6am. Ahokhu Chishi, secretary UUD has requested all the Usutomi residing in and around to attend the programme and also to bring along the annual house budget. DPDB Dimapur meeting DIMAPUR: The monthly District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting for Dimapur district has been convened on March 5 at 11am at the conference hall of Sub Divisional officer (Civil), Dhansiripar. Maong Aier, deputy commissioner and vice chairman DPDB Dimapur has requested all the DPDB members to attend the meeting. Phek - Satakha road in dire straits DIMAPUR: Contractors work on Phek to Satakha road via Chepoketa has ceased for almost a year leaving it in a half finished state. Informing this in a press release vice chairman of Khuza EAC Hq development board Zashevoyi Lohe stated that instead of getting a black topped metal lined road, condition of the road was deteriorating daily. The release appealed to minister for R&B Nagaland to look into the matter and sought clarification as to why the work on the road was ceased. DVC informs on land business DIMAPUR: Domokhia village council (DVC) has informed all individuals buying or selling land at Domokhia village to do so with the knowledge of the village council. Chairman and GB of the village Dr. S. Kithan and Lihao Patton informed that failing to adhere with notification would lead to non- acceptance of membership registration. Admission discount for KGSU students DIMAPUR: Computer Concept Institute, Vikiye centre Notun Bosti junction has offered a heavy discount or subsidized admission and fees especially for students of Kuhuboto Ghakhu Students’ Union (KGSU). KGSU requested any student interested in taking up computer course to avail the opportunity through KGSU and to contact the union president at 9856051664 and 9402803423. PVC resolves to expels one KOHIMA: Phekerkhrie village council (Keviphe) Kohima on February 6 has resolved to expel Thinuokruolie Rutsa and his family members from Phekerkhriema Basa village. PVC in a press statement said on February 6, general meeting discussed on issue of expelling 50 year old Thinuokruolie Rutsa relating to killing of late Kelhoukielie Kenguriisie allegedly by his gun on December 30. According to the statement, the council on thorough investigation found that Thinuokruolie had intentionally killed Kelhoukielie Kenguriisie and also found that even in the past he had allegedly shot other person and in several occasions threatened to kill people. ADC Tseminyu conduct meeting KOHIMA: Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Tseminyu Ahola Those on Tuesday convened a meeting at Tseminyu with all head GB’s, VCCs and VDBs. In her address she spoke on all around development activities and encouraged both the village functionaries and officers to strive together for welfare of the public. Ronsele Kath, BDO Tsemenyu delivered speech on works and importance of VDB under RD programme, while Imkongzenla CDPO spoke on ICDS programme and importance of community participation under the scheme. VCC Nsunyu village, Zisiunyu Vilage and Sendenyu village spoke on the programme- Target and achievement of a VDB village. Earlier, invocation prayer was pronounced by Rev. Tosaya Katha, pastor AG church and vote of thanks was pronounced by EAC Tsogin Wacy Kent. Training in cutting and tailoring DIMAPUR: The manager Sub-District Industries Centre (DIC), Pughoboto has informed that nine-month training course on cutting and tailoring would be held at Sub-DIC, Pughoboto and interview would be on March 30 at 10am at office chamber of manager, Sub-DIC Pughoboto. Applicants are to write the application in plain paper along with bio-data and attested copies of educational documents and last date for submission of application is March 26. A. Temjen Jamir, manager Sub-DIC, Pughoboto has informed that the intending candidates having a minimum educational qualification of Class VIII and above can apply and the candidates should submit original educational or testimonial certificates at the time of interview. Training would commence from April 1.
