In commemoration of National Science Day, a popular science talk was conducted on Wednesday at Government Middle School, Chandmari Kohima on the theme ‘Gender equity for prosperity and peace.’
Chief Guest for the occasion, Ruokuoneinuo, project assistant DMA SSA, called upon students to give interest in science subject and contribute something out of it to the society. Just as scientists had invented things out of curiosity and observation, she said that students should also observe things around them and invent new things for future generation. Speaking on the Hole in a Wall project, the chief guest urged the students and children of the locality to make use of the facilities, stating that it was made to give more importance to science subject. Resource persons included Vistu Yhome, programme officer NIHESW Kohima; Vibeto, science teacher GMS Chandmari and Nepusalu, science teacher GMS Chandmari. Students from various government schools participated in the programme.
