Government servants in Nagaland have expressed concern over delaying the implementation of sixth pay commission. Members of various service associations, who met on March 3 in Kohima for the second time, discussed in length on why the state government has prolonged the affective date for implementation on the 6th ROP to April 1, 2010, and the adverse economic affect on state government employees, a statement issued here by seasonal secretary E. Thunglamo Ovung said. The house also expressed concern on why state government was neglecting its own employees in granting 6th ROP, while IAS, IPS, IFS and allied cadres serving under the same government were getting 6th ROP since Jan 2006, it stated. The house decided to submit a memorandum to government for implementation of 6th ROP in Toto with effective date from Jan 2006 for all government employees. Further, the house during the meeting formed a forum-- All Nagaland Services 6th ROP Demand Forum – comprising of two members from each service association as executive members with Dr. David Sema as chairman, Vekho Vero as secretary, N. Abong as treasurer and Milan Raj Bansi joint secretary as office bearers.
