Lt. General V.K. Singh meets Governor, CM

Chief of the Indian Army designate, GOC-in-C eastern command Lt Gen V.K. Singh visited Nagaland Thursday to review security situation in Nagaland. General V.K Singh, who was accompanied by FWO eastern command regional president Bharti Singh and GOC HQ 3 Corps Lt Gen N.K. Singh was received by IGAR (N) Maj Gen Sandeep Singh, a defence release issued by PRO, IGAR (N) stated. During his visit, the general was briefed about security situation in Nagaland. Lt Gen V.K. Singh underlined the need for synergy of efforts at all levels, it stated. Regional president Bharti Singh, who attended family welfare meet, organised by IGAR (N), interacted with families and enquired about welfare schemes for Families and Children. The GOC-in-C eastern command and his wife Bharti Singh also interacted with Nagaland chief minister Neiphiu Rio and Kaisa Rio at CM’s residence. They later called on Nagaland governor Nikhil Kumar at Raj Bhawan, Kohima. The Governor hosted lunch in honour of the visiting dignitaries.
