Parliamentary secretary Fisheries, RR and PS, S. Heno undertook a two day tour to Doyang Hydro Electric project from March 2 to see the site for setting up of an ice plant for the benefit of fish farmers.
During the tour the parliamentary secretary was accompanied by secretary Fisheries, director, additional director, deputy director along with many officers from Fisheries department and public leaders.
According to a press note, as desired by parliamentary secretary and secretary Fisheries an interactive meeting was held with the fish farmers of the neighbouring villages and Fishmonger’s society on March 3 at NEEPCO guest house where the fish farmers and fishmongers were given the opportunity to express their grievances and also submitted a memorandum to parliamentary secretary for redress of the grievances being faced by them.
Attending the meeting, the director Fisheries sought the cooperation of the fish farmers and secretary Fisheries interacting with the fish farmers enquired about their grievances and sought suggestion for their welfare. The parliamentary secretary Fishery also exhorted the fish farmers. The meeting was conducted by additional director Fisheries.
Further, parliamentary secretary conducted a meeting with DGM, Doyang Hydro Electric Project and requested him to expedite the construction of the bridge connecting Pangti and its adjoining villages for the larger interest of the villagers.
