Funeral service for Alhou Tachii DIMAPUR: Alhou Tachii, ex-pastor, New Chiimukedima CRC passed away on March 8. His funeral service would be held on March 9, at 12:30pm at 7th Mile Model Village, Chiimukedima. BJP signature campaign on price rise DIMAPUR: All India signature campaign to protest against price rise would be launched to culminate with the ‘gherao’ of the parliament by BJP, national on April 21. BJP national president, M. Chuba and BJP state executive have requested the public to join the price rise against price rise by lending their signature to the BJP campaigners all over the state. The campaigners would visit the homes, villages, towns or on streets. YBC buffet postponed DIMAPUR: Yimchungru Baptist Church (YBC), Chumukedima has informed that buffet scheduled on March 9 has been postponed to April 8. Youth director, YBC Chumukedima has requested all responsible individual to note the changes and has highly regretted for the inconveniences created. SAYO meeting KOHIMA: Southern Angami Youth Organization (SAYO) has convened a meeting on March 13, 10 am at SAPO hall Jakhama to discuss some important issues. DTE general meeting DIMAPUR: Dimapur Tsungiki Ekhung (DTE) has convened a general meeting on March 13, 9am at Fellowship building. All members have been requested to attend the meeting. Tsg fire service informs DIMAPUR: Reacting to the news item Houses gutted in K Wongthu village published on March 6 wherein 6 buildings, 14 thatched houses and 13 granaries were burnt to ashes, the O/C Tuensang fire service S. Ale Longkumer said that the fire service was not informed of the incident. He stated that the fire service was always on call, ready to face any eventuality and therefore requested the public to inform the fire brigade so it could attend to their calls. Lotha Hoho informs DIMAPUR: Responding to the news articles about traffic regulations published on February 26 wherein it was stated road entry point from Eros lane includes “Church Road” chairman Lotha Hoho Dimapur YK Ovung informed said the government had officially re-named the road to Nyamo Lotha Road and asked the government to issue a corrigendum to this effect. SRSU executive meeting DIMAPUR: Suruhuto Range Students’ Union (SRSU) has convened an executive meeting on March 15, 10am at the residence of its banker, Suruhuto. Jakhama Officers Forum meeting DIMAPUR: The meeting of Officer’s Forum, Jakhama Sub-Division would be held at SDO (C) office chamber on March 9, 12 noon. ENPSTA informs DIMAPUR: Eastern Nagaland Pre-Service Teachers’ Association (ENPSTA) has informed that in an emergency meeting resolved to collect annual membership of Rs. 100 per head and Rs. 300 for contribution. CANSSEA central office bearers meeting DIMAPUR: The central office bearers meeting of Confederation of All Nagaland State Services Employees’ Association (CANSSEA) has been convened on March 13, 11am at CANSSEA office building, Kohima. All the central office bearers have been requested to attend the meeting. Dog show in Dimapur DIMAPUR: District Veterinary and AH Department, Dimapur would be organizing a dog show on March 20, 10:30am at Dimapur Club complex. The highlights of the event would be prizes for the best dogs categorically on both pedigree and nondescript breeds (local) and consolation prizes to all the participants. District veterinary officer, Dimapur has informed that registration form and related information can be collected from the Veterinary hospital, Burma camp Dimapur between 9am to 12pm and issuing of forms would close on March 17. It also requested all interested persons, dog lovers and owners to participate in the event where grooming, nutrition and health issues would be exchanged between the doctors, pet experts and pet owners. PNPO general session DIMAPUR: Pathso Nokeng Public Organisation (PNPO) has convened general session cum dedication and public declaration function of change of village nomenclature on March 16 and 17 with S. Heno, parliamentary secretary as chief guest. All the citizens of Pathso Nokeng have been requested to attend the meeting. DCC Tuensang meet venue shifted DIMAPUR: District Congress Committee (DCC), Tuensang has informed that the venue for INC party meeting scheduled on March 9 at 8am has been shifted to Town Hall, Tuensang from CKS meeting hall due to inconvenience. All the responsible party leaders and party workers have been requested to note the changes and informed that the meeting would be addressed by Sanjay Bapna, AICC New Delhi secretary; I. Imkong MLA, president NPCC and Tokheho MLA, CLP leader. SBC ordained ministers Hoho postponed DIMAPUR: Sumi Baptist Convention (SBC) ordained ministers Hoho scheduled on March 11 to 12 has been postponed till further notification as it coincided with NBCC ordained ministers fellowship scheduled on March 12 to 14. NPF working committee meeting DIMAPUR: Nagaland People’s Front (NPF) has convened a meeting of the working committee on March 9, 4pm at NPF central office. All members and invitees have been requested to attend the meeting where important agendas including the party’s candidature for the ensuing Rajya Sabha election would be discussed. ANSTGA informs DIMAPUR: All Nagaland Small Tea Growers Association (ANSTGA) has informed that as per the decision in an executive meeting held on August 28, 5% voluntary contribution would be made to ANSTGA’s fund through the responsible district presidents for the welfare of the association. S.K. James, vice president ANSTGA in a press statement has stated that as per the earlier publication mentioning 5% deduction to be clarified as voluntary contribution.
