Renewal of AKM survival census card DIMAPUR: Ao Students’ Conference (AKM) has extended renewal and registration of AKM survival census card (non-locals) from March 10 to 13. The conference has directed all non-locals who have not done their registration till date to renew the cards by March 13 and further informed all non-locals working in private schools and firms to report during office hour from 11 am to 4 pm with the required documents and two passports. Administrator for Medziphema town council DIMAPUR: In pursuant of notification no UDD /MAC 12/2009 dated 11.1.2010, additional deputy commissioner, S Doungel who has taken charge of Medziphema Town Council on March 7 and will function as its administrator with immediate effect. All official correspondence relating to MTC shall be addressed to the administrator Medziphema Town Council. NZC executive meeting DIMAPUR: Northern Zeme Council (NZC) has convened executive meeting on April 3 at 10am at the Heningkunglwa village council hall. Ngimzie, general secretary NZC (N) has requested all the responsible members, office bearers and advisory board members to attend the meeting. Further, all the village councils under NZC have been requested to send one representative from their respective village to the NZC as executive member. Meanwhile, NZC has elected its new team of office bearers for the present tenure with Vikuolie as president, Ngimzie as general secretary, advisory board members and other members. ANCNA seeks co-operation DIMAPUR: All Nagaland Cashew Nut Association (ANC NA) has sought the minister in charge and Direction to cooperate the association in the interest of the cashew nut growers in particulars and public in general. VVC bans hunting, fishing DIMAPUR: Vihokhu Village Council (VVC) has banned all forms of hunting and fishing in Vihokhu village jurisdiction with effect from February 27 till further notification. The council has cautioned any person or group found violating the order would be penalized according to customary laws. Wipro campus at NIIT Dimapur centre DIMAPUR: NIIT Dimapur centre would be organizing a campus recruitment event to be held directly by Wipro BPO. Graduates/ post graduates/ final year students at the age group of 18 to 45 years who are proficient in computers and having good verbal/ written English communication skills have been informed to apply with their bio-data before March 11 to the Head of Centre. Four rounds of interviews including passage reading, voice assessment, HR interview and domain/ technical test will be held on March 12, 10 am at NIIT Dimapur Centre, Near S.D Jain Girls College at Jain Temple Road. NSCN (I-M) grateful DIMAPUR: NSCN I-M has expressed gratitude to all civil societies who stood to show their last respect to the legendary leader of Naga political struggle late Khodao Yanthan. In a press statement, the NSCN (I-M) acknowledged Ao Senden, Dimapur Naga Student Union (DNSU), All Tribal Hohos, Eastern Naga people’s Organization (ENPO), and Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR), Naga Students’ Union and all tribal Student Unions. The NSCN (I-M) also expressed its gratitude to the business communities who closed their Shops and halt their business activities to show honor to late Khodao Yanthan. Workshop on swine fever DIMAPUR: Agricultural Technology Management Agency, (ATMA) Mokokchung would be organizing a workshop on ‘Developing strategies to tackle Swine Fever in Mokokchung’ at Longkumer Kilem on March 11. According to an official bulletin, the workshop assumes significance from the fact that Swine Fever causes immense economic losses to pig breeders in the state. Experts in the field, N. Tekatoshi, project director, ATMA, Mokokchung will speak on ‘Role of ATMA in tackling the disease’ while Dr. Chubala Benard, veterinary assistant surgeon, Changtongya will speak on swine fever and its impact on pig breeders in the district. The workshop would be inaugurated by deputy commissioner Mokokchung, C.M Tsanglao. W’shop on protection of plant varieties DIMAPUR: A one day sensitization and awareness programme on protection of plant varieties (PPV) and farmers right authority (FRA), sponsored by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) will be held at the State Agricultural Research Station (SARS) Conference Hall, Yisemyong, Mokokchung on March 10, 10 am. According to an official bulletin, the inaugural function would be graced by deputy commissioner, Mokokchung C.M Tsanglao. Topics on the importance of rich genetic resources, protection, conservation and utilization would be highlighted. ANDBGPF monthly prayer and fasting service KOHIMA: All Nagaland Driver’s and Bodyguards (ANDBGPF) prayer fellowship is organizing the month prayer and fasting service on March 13, 7am at Yimchungrü Baptist Church opposite IOC Kohima. The service would be led by Augustine Kharka, general secretary ANDBGPF, while W Nyanchimi Kithan, women leader LBCK and president Kohima Town Baptist Women Union would be the main speaker. All members have been requested to attend the service and support with prayer. PKR meeting KOHIMA: The P.K.R Students union has convened a meeting on March 13, 10 am at the residence of Esron Himb, Khenyu village. All executive members/ union assembly members, advisors, golden jubilee committee members and all the village leaders have been requested to attend the meeting. EUUN informs on fund collection DIMAPUR: Educated Unemployed Union Nagaland (EUUN) has informed that some “vested individual/groups” has been collecting fund/donation in the name of EUUN in and around Dimapur. The union has informed all citizens of Dimapur not to entertain such collection without the prior approval from the union head office Kohima and requested the Dimapur public to contact 9612169565/9436650635/9436657294 for action or inform the police administration for necessary action. URF Tripura awakening revival DIMAPUR: United Revival Fellowship (URF) mission Dimapur unit would be organizing awakening revival and healing festival at Bethal Baptist church Tripura from March 11 to 15 on the theme “The Lord is nearing the valley of decision. Joel 3:14”. The festival is sponsored by the New Life Bible college Dimapur and the resource persons include pastor N. Khekiye Aye mission incharge UBCA Goalpara Assam and URF Dimapur unit chairman Tovishe Achumi. All delegates and counselors have been requested to reach Dimapur train station on March 11, 3.30 pm.
