Corruption in state high: Sanjay Bapna

AICC secretary & in-charge of Nagaland, Sanjay Bapna on Tuesday alleged that corruption in various developmental activities in the state was “so high” and called upon the people to join hands for the common lucrative of the society. Addressing party workers at the INC Party meeting at Town Hall Tuensang, Sanjay said that the Congress party stood to fight against corruption, development and other needy people. Sanjay, who is in currently on tour in various districts of Nagaland along with CLP leader, NPCC president and various party leaders said that the Congress party was based on the principle of bringing up the downtrodden people. He said that the government of India was trying to solve the political issue of Nagaland and asked the people to participate positively. Sanjay said the congress party could come to power in the state very shortly if people worked with strong determination, sincerity, dedication and cooperation. Also speaking at the meeting, CLP leader, Tokheho Yepthomi accused the DAN government of misuse of funds of various development activities and asked the people to seriously view the functioning of the government for the benefit of the society. Stating that the 5th pay commission was implemented during Congress regime, he queried the 6th pay revision was not being implemented by the DAN Government. He said that the ENSF bringing out the grievances of the people on NH-155 was for the welfare of the people. He urged the people for more active participation in such issues. NPCC I. Imkong lauded the DCC Tuensang, ACCC, Mahila, Seva Dal and Congress party Tuensang for the highest enrolment of party workers in seven Assembly Constituencies numbering up to 11, 000. Congress MLA, C. Apok Jamir denied rumors that there was disunity within the party. He said that the Congress party was the “strongest and biggest” political party in the country and appealed to the people to work hard for the common benefit of the society. The programme was well attended by various Congress legislators and leaders.
