ATAN hunger strike

Agitated by the lack of response from the state government even after the expiry of deadline, the aggrieved teachers’ association of Nagaland (ATAN) Thursday resolved to begin indefinite hunger strike from April 9, 2010 outside new secretariat complex, Kohima. ATAN, in a faxed statement issued Thursday by its secretary Yanger, has informed all aggrieved teachers from all the districts to bring along light bedding and participate in the strike. This decision was resolved at a general meeting of aggrieved teachers held at ISBT, Dimapur, the release said.
