Govt constitutes panel to study pay anomalies

State government has constituted a four-member committee to examine pay anomalies, if any, arising out of Nagaland services (revision of pay) Rules, 2010.
The committed headed by principal secretary (home) C.J. Ponraj as chairman and commissioner and secretary (P&AR) Temjen Toy, secretary (law) K.N. Chishi and consultant (finance) as members would examine all cases of anomalies arising in connection with new RoP, a government notification issued by finance department stated.
The cases of anomalies are on the basis of representation received from various services associations and individuals and also cases referred to it by the government, it stated. The government has empowered the panel to decide its own procedures of functioning and could call for information from any department/service association so as to facilitate examination of any cases referred to it.
According to the notification, the committee could also accept representation from any service association/individual government servant and could invite them for hearing grievances if necessary. Recommendations resulting from the study would be submitted to the government from time to time for further decision, the notification said.
It may be mentioned that various state employees’ associations and opposition Congress have demanded immediate implementation of RoP at par with the central Sixth Pay Commission awards.
