Former NPCC president K.V Pusa on Saturday called upon Naga people to propagate peace and harmony in the state to usher in unity.
Addressing the get together programme of ‘Kikhi and Pusa’ clans at Viswema, Congress legislator Pusa said without peace Nagas would be left behind in all aspects. He urged people to cultivate inner peace and propagate peace throughout the state so that desire and aspiration of Naga people for unity could be fulfilled.
Nagas had been talking for peace and unity for many years but peace had eluded from Naga people as they did not cultivate inner peace. “Inner peace is foremost for all of us”, he added. He expressed hope that sooner or later peace and unity would reign amongst Naga people. The congress leader also called upon people of two clans to maintain strong bond and show to the rest of Naga people, how unity worked.
Hundreds of people from Kikhi and Pusa clans from all over Nagaland attended the special get-together programme at St. Joseph Higher Secondary School ground, Viswema. On the occasion special songs and folk songs were presented by two clans.
‘Kikhi and Pusa clans’ get-together was established in 1997 to foster peace and unity.
