The 7th foundation day of India Northeast Tribal Community Welfare Society (INTCWS), Notun Bosti Dimapur was held on April 9 at its office. According to a press note, the director Atsei Sekhose highlighted the achievements and initiatives made by the society and also informed that the society has come a long way in achieving its aims and objectives by the selfless and dedicated service of the members. Further, awareness programmes in the areas of joband placements offers in order to prevent trafficking and exploitation of girls and women, literacy programmes for rural womenfolk and youth, family planning cum mother and child care, career oriented educational seminars, bringing resource persons from Bangalore, Kanniyakumari and local professional from diverse fields, inspection and verification of institutes or colleges in Bangalore, Tamil Nadu and Kerala and also guidance and counseling to students for admission outside the state were also highlighted.
The director further encouraged all the members to continue and keep up the good work and stressed that nothing can be achieved without cooperation and enthusiasm. Meanwhile, various action plans for the year was deliberated and the members reaffirmed their decision to work ahead with greater zeal to uplift the tribal.
