Dimapur Khensa Sensotsür Telongjem (Khensa Women’s Union) celebrated its silver anniversary on Wednesday at the residence of S Meren Walling, IOC Signal under the theme ‘Progress through Unity’.
Speaking on the topic ‘A new vision,’ the main speaker Wati Kichu, DABA pastor acknowledged the women folks of Khensa village in Dimapur for their venture as a union with collective vision for the uplift and growth of society.
He said the achievement, of being a mother with a vision was more manifested by looking at the children, who have been carrying out their responsibility in the society with earnestness, showing that they have been brought up with right values by their mothers. Expressing that jubilee celebration was a time to leave aside differences, forget the past and leave bitterness behind through forgiveness and God’s healing, pastor Kichu impressed upon the women folks that it was also the time to strengthen themselves and move forward with ‘new hope and vision.’
The jubilee souvenir of the Khensa Women’s Union was also released on the occasion by Dr. Asangla, women leader and a song by officers of Chumukedima Union while Talijila exhorted the gathering. The union also felicitated the past women leaders.
