Chuba Chang exhorts students to maintain discipline

MLA P. Chuba Chang on Wednesday exhorted the students of St. John school Tuensang to maintain discipline, punctuality and character.
He also urged the students to focus on common platform for the upliftment of the society. Speaking as Chief Guest at the annual sports and games of St. John school Tuensang, P. Chuba Chang asserted that the tag ‘backwardness’ should be removed, he called upon the students community to contribute to the society.
P. Chuba Chang, who is also an alumni of the school, recollected past memories and urged students to reach for their goal.
The MLA while pointing out that the teachers were like gardeners, urged the teachers to be sincere and active while rendering their services to humanity.
P. Chuba Chang while stating “We are mentally not backward; we can compete with the other advance society and appealed for more initiative in the near future” also said that many politicians, bureaucrats, and leaders were a product of this school P. Chuba while encouraging the students to maintain ‘sporting spirit’ also assured to help in all the possible ways towards the school.
Earlier, the invocation prayer was pronounced by C. Simon (Catechist St Thomas church) followed by the unfurling of the school flag by the chief guest.
Welcome address was delivered by the principal of St. John school Tuensang. The programme was also marked by the Naga traditional dances from Chang, Yimchungrü, Sangtam, Khiamnuingan and Ao tribe. Drill display and tug of war was also witnessed at the programme.
