Drawing the attention of state chief minister Neiphiu Rio over the poor condition of Civil Hospital Tuensang, Chang Students Union (CSU) stated that though condition of the hospital was highlighted by NGOs and officers who often visited the hospital, availing medicines and other technological facilities remained a far cry for citizens of Tuensang. Union stated that every patient had to buy basic needs such as cotton, threads, syringes, blade, hand gloves, plaster etc especially in delivery cases. Union advisory board secretary S. Imlongnukshi Chang in a press release alleged that reason for lack of facilities as replied by medical superintendent on April 14 was that the government was not providing anything. The union has appealed the chief minister to visit the hospital and look into the grievances of the people of Tuensang.
