Clarification by law deptt on Kohima court

Drawing attention to a news item “Judiciary in suspense” reported in a local daily April 13 last, the state department of justice & law department Thursday clarified that non-functional of district and session court, Kohima was incorrect.
Also, clarifying that additional district and session (AD&S) judge, Kohima was the highest subordinate judicial court in the district, additional secretary justice and law department Khanrinla T. Koza, in a release, said as such there was no district and session judge in Kohima. It added that Mayanglima has been discharging his duties as AD&S judge.
It also stated that anomaly in the order issued by the high court, posting district and sessions judge, Kohima, L. N. Sema, was being clarified with the high court registry. Further, the department clarified that AD&S judge, Kohima was not posted as AD&S judge, Mon, adding that only Chinomchiba, was given additional charge of AD&S judge, Mon.
