Boulders rate to increase by Rs 13
DIMAPUR: Boulder Sand Gravel and Metal Stone Supply Union has resolved to increase the rate of supply of stone boulders to Rs 13 per CFT to all stone crusher mills in and around Dimapur with effect from May 1. This was informed by union general secretary Kediseyie and joint secretary Bokato.
Dimapur DPDB meeting time changed
DIMAPUR: The timing of special Dimapur District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting with chief minister scheduled on April 27 at 9am has been rescheduled at 10:30am. This has been informed in a press note issued by Maong Aier, DC and vice chairman DPDB Dimapur.
Advisory committee DMC resumes duty
DIMAPUR: In pursuance of government notification, the Advisory Committee of Dimapur Municipal Council has resumed their responsibilities/duties with effect from April 15. Informing this in a press note issued by Er K. Keditsu, chief advisor Advisory Committee DMC has also informed that henceforth any correspondence or others should be addressed to the chief advisor, Advisory Committee Dimapur Municipal Council.
SHN consultative meeting
DIMAPUR: In connection with the controversy that arose between certain Sumi villages on establishment of first Sumi village in recent times, the Sumi Hoho Nagaland (SHN) has convened a consultative meeting on April 20 and 21 at Sumi Baptist Akukuhou, Zunheboto at 3pm and 7am respectively. Hokishe Yepthomi, president and Kitohos Rotokha, general secretary SHN has requested all individuals, villages and senior Sumi citizens those who are aware of Sumi migration to attend the meeting.
AGYJFD first youth camp, talent contest
DIMAPUR: The Assemblies of God Youth Joint Fellowship Dimapur (AGYJFD) would be organizing first youth camp cum talent contest from April 16 to 18 at Gospel Centre AG Church, Burma Camp Dimapur at 2pm. Rev. Dr. Simon Tan Singapore, pastor Mervin Tan Singapore, Rev. Dr. T.N. Lotha, Rev. Moses Murry, general superintendent AGEI and Er Sao, director Jesus Seeks Minsitry would be the main speakers. Yanbo Kikon, president and Luther, general secretary AGYJFD has requested all the youths residing in and around Dimapur to attend the programme.
Chakhesang CRC council fasting
DIMAPUR: A fasting and prayer programme has been organized by Chakhesang CRC council at Mission Centre Chetheba under the Divine Revelation from April 16-18. The speakers for the programme will be pastor of Sodzulhou Rev Bulechu, Vezokho Vero of Shisha hoho prayer centre Kohima. All leaders from different society, NGO CPO, national workers and church leaders have been requested to attend the meeting positively.
KODH foundation day
KOHIMA: The Kohima Orphanage and Destitute Home (KODH) will observe its 38th foundation day on April 16 at 12 noon.
Teachers’ verification time changed
DIMAPUR: Timing to conduct teachers verification in Dimapur scheduled on April 19 has rescheduled to 10 am instead of 11am. Informing this in a press note issued DC Dimapur Maong Aier has requested all teachers to take note of the change of time.
MRC graduation programme
DIMAPUR: The graduation programme of Missiological Research Centre (MRC) would be held on April 16 at 2pm at MRC campus, 5th mile. This has been informed in a press note issued by Rev. Dr. Rabi Pame, principal MRC.
Peren DPDB meeting
DIMAPUR: The Deputy Commissioner (DC), Peren has called a meeting of all the DPDB members on April 21 at 11am at DC conference hall in view of chief minister visit to Peren DPDB on April 23. Khrienuo C. Metha, DC Peren has requested all DPDB members to attend the meeting.

Computer building at GHSS Noklak
KOHIMA: The Computer building of GHSS Noklak was inaugurated on March 24 by Pongom, vice-chairman, Noklak Town Adhoc Committee . Altogether the school received ten computer sets from SCERT and also P.Longon, minister for soil and water conservation for donating certain amount for the construction of the computer building. Meanwhile the Principal, staff and students of the school expressed gratitude to SCERT and minister for their generous help.
LWS meeting postponed
DIMAPUR: The annual general meeting cum election of office bearers of Lazami Welfare Society (LWS), Dimapur scheduled on April 17 has been postponed to April 24 due to some unavoidable circumstances. This has been informed in a press note issued by president LWS.
CSUTT support ENSF units’ demand
TUENSANG: The Chang Students Union Tuensang Town (CSUTT) has strongly condemned. S. Lanu Imchen DIS Tuensang for trying to dispose off text books supposed to be distributed to the students for free. The CSUTT in a release said a responsible officer committing such crime was nothing but directly murdering the student’s community. CSUTT also extended support to the demand of its four apex student’s body CCSU, YAA, KSU, USSC and appealed the all right thinking citizens and individuals to condemn such unwanted acts.
ANAATA appeals to DDO and DIS
DIMAPUR: All Nagaland Aggrieved Adhoc Teachers’ Association (ANAATA) has appealed to all DDO and DIS who have not submitted the status of salary payment in respect of genuine and doubtful teachers as per SIT report to submit it to DSE. ANAATA vice president, Neiphrezo Kotso in a press statement said submission of status of salary payment was to be done on or before April 5 and has urged the responsible authority to do the needful for the interest of the aggrieved doubtful teachers.
SP informs recruitment candidates
DIMAPUR: Superintendent of Police (SP), Dimapur has informed candidates selected by the Dimapur District Recruitment Board for appointment to the post of Constable (GD) under DEF Dimapur to report to SP Office, Dimapur on or before April 23 along with medical fitness certificate issued by the competent authority.

DIMAPUR: Annual conference of Satoi Range GBs Federation would be held on April 29, 8.30 am at Satoi town Cultural hall with Er H.Kahuto Sumi S.E PWD as chief guest and Z.Vihoshe Awomi chairman Adhoc town Council east Dimapur as guest of honour. Former NSF president, V.Phushika Aomi would speak on SRSU vigilance over all aspects of Satoi area. Vipassana meditation gypsy camp
DIMAPUR: The Society of Dhamma Bodhi and Meditation (SDBM) has informed that ten days vipassana meditation gypsy camp would be held from April 17 to 28 and thereafter children’s course from April 24 to May 1 at the premises of SDBM, Kevija-U village, near Plastic factory Dimapur. In a press note issued by Suman Barua, joint secretary (publicity) SDBM said the courses are free of cost and completely residential and has requested the interested aspirants to contact N. Barua, course manager on 9436002475 for obtaining the application form and code of discipline. Further, has informed that seats are limited and preference would be given on first come first serve basis.

Payment for WWII veterans
DIMAPUR: Payment for World War II veterans will be made on April 19 at Zila Sainik welfare Office Mokokchung. Secretary Zila Sainik Board, Lt Col. R.S. Ahluwalia (Retd) Mokokchung informed that payment would be made personally on producing ID card and pension book.
CBC platinum jubilee celebration
DIMAPUR: Chimonger Baptist Church (CBC) would be celebrating 75 years of Christianity from May 1 to 4 under the theme, “Church is Lord” with the dedication of newly constructed Church building. CBC convener planning committee Thsadong Sangtam has requested all former leaders of the Church, in-laws and rightful citizens of Chimonger residing outside the village to attend the celebration.
Tsükhenye festival on Apr 24
Kohima: Zuketsa Area Welfare Union Kohima would be observing its 25th Anniversary celebration cum Tsükhenye festival on April 24, 11 a.m at Kisama.
Member, Forum for Naga Reconciliation, Neingulo Krome will grace the function as chief guest. Other highlights of the morning session will include releasing of souvenir by Joint Director (S&WC) Nagaland, Neizulo Khutso and greetings by President ZAPO, Mezelo Lomi.
The afternoon session will be marked by beauty contest and cultural presentation by Leshemi Youth Society, Lasumi Youth Society and zapami Youth Society.
