Wokha Village Youth Organization (WVYO) organized a career guidance program on April 16 at village community hall. According to a press note issued by Y. Myamo, publicity and information secretary, Libemo Kithan, lecturer Mount Tiyi College Wokha and Libemo Jami, youth resources officer Wokha were the resource persons who spoke on academic pursuit and civil service examination respectively and around 150 students, elders and well wishers participated in the programme.
While speaking on the topic the lecturer said, “right career and education alone is a permanent asset” and maintained that provident planning of career and self- discovery of talent in reaching certain destination is vital in one’s life. In his speech he also highlighted various job- oriented courses to the participants.
The youth resources officer said job markets were plenty, but market only needed professional and therefore a large number of graduates with limited skills could not enroll themselves to these large market. He said that choosing career needed to involve the smart analysis where one should mark and identify the letters in -specific measurable, attemptable, realistic and time bound. Basic elements for civil services aspirant are- vast knowledge, standard books, personalities and determination he said.
Meanwhile, the programme was chaired by president WVYO, M. Thomas Tungoe who also extended heartfelt gratitude to all the participants, resources persons and various individuals for making the programme successful.
