Mizoram church to focus on China, AP

The final leg of the 42nd United Pentecostal Church of North East India General Conference-cum-Diamond Jubilee celebration continues here at the Assam Rifles Parade Ground in Aizawl today.
Yesterday, the General Mission Department decided to launch campaign in Arunuchal Pradesh, China, Kalpeni and Kadmat in Lakshadweep.
The Conference Speaker, Rev. Bruce Howell who also is the Director of General Foreign Mission laid the foundation stone of UPC Hqrs. in Mualpui this afternoon.
Besides, the Ladies Auxiliary Department (LAD) agreed to add 3 more programmes in the family altar. These programmes included donation of over 2 lakh, 49 thousand rupees for orphans and setting up of orphanage during this year.
The Conference is attended by a number of UPC leaders from various parts of the world including the Regional Director for Asia, Rev. Lynden G. Shalm, Gen. Superintendent of Australia, Rev. John W. Downs.
