Pochury Day celebration
DIMAPUR: Pochury Day celebration would be held on April 21, 10.30 am at the premises of Pochury Baptist Church Kohima with Yitachu, parliamentary secretary for justice and law and tourism as guest of honour while S. DIMAPUR: The second union assembly of Kyong Students’ Union (KSU) scheduled on April 22 and 23 has been postponed to May 6 and 7. ANSTA Phek district meeting
DIMAPUR: All Nagaland School Teachers’ Association (ANSTA), Phek district has convened a meeting on April 30, 11am at Meluri (Mercy bridge). ANSTA Phek has requested all the executives, sub-unit presidents and representatives to attend the meeting. It also requested all responsible members to avoid tours and fixing of meetings on the scheduled date and informed Meluri sub-unit to look for the necessary arrangement.

DIMAPUR: Eastern People’s Union Zunheboto (ENPUZ) has convened an emergency meeting on May 16 at the union treasury. All members have been requested to attend the meeting. DIMAPUR: Sumi Hoho Nagaland has informed that the proposed meeting convened on April 20 and 21 at Sumi Baptist Akukuhou, Zunheboto has been cancelled due to some unavoidable circumstances. The Hoho has requested all to bear with the inconvenience.
Dr. B.T. Luen MBC graduation
DIMAPUR: The 8th graduation and commencement exercises for Dr. B.T. Luen Memorial Bible College (MBC) Tuli will be held on the April 21. Rev Dr. Jim Starr, Director Vision 2020 Asia will deliver the graduation message as well as the honours of graduation and dedication. A total of 10 students will graduate including three graduates in theology and seven in bachelor of theology.
NNC/FGN discharges one
DIMAPUR: NNC/FGN has discharged Neitho Angami son of Neibali Angami, Razou Peyu of Sumi region from the “active service” of the nation on health and domestic ground. In a press statement issued by “region secretary” Sumi region FGN stated that the government would remember his service in the years to come and further wished him early recovery and a successful life.
Dimapur Sanmilan informs
DIMAPUR: Dimapur Sanmilan in an executive meeting on April 18 decided to celebrate Rongali Bihu on June 27. The Sanmilan formed a Rongali Bihu committee and vice president Darmeswhar Kachari donated a room to Dimapur Sanmilan for office use which was inaugurated by Dimapur Sanmilan advisor D.K. Gogoi. The members of Dimapur Sanmilan have expressed gratitude to Darmeswhar Kachari and his family for their support.

ANSTA central informs
Kohima: The central executives of All Nagaland School Teacher’s Association (ANSTA) have decided to support 6th ROP Demand forum in regard to wearing “black arm bands” from April 22 to 28 as a sign of protest for non-implementation of 6th ROP in toto by the state government. All responsible units and sub-unit of the association have been informed to instruct schools under them to prepare ‘black arms bands’ and follow the direction promptly without confusion. It further informed all responsible that the next course of action will be announced later from the central ANSTA.
Kohima Pangti Kyong Ekhung meet
DIMAPUR: Kohima Pangti Kyong Ekhung (KPKE) has convened an emergency meeting on April 20, 3 pm to at the old official residence of its KPKE chairman N. Nyimtsemo Ngullie, government quarters Chandmari Kohima to discuss about the ongoing 2011 census and other important relevant matters for the Ekhung.
