Pochury Day celebration
DIMAPUR: Pochury Day celebration would be held on April 21, 10.30 am at the premises of Pochury Baptist Church Kohima with Yitachu, parliamentary secretary for justice and law and tourism as guest of honour while S. Katiry, Retd. Director, Printing and Stationery would exhort the gathering. All Pochuries residing in Kohima have been requested to attend the programme.
Yanthan clan meeting
DIMAPUR: Yanthan clan has convened its general meeting on April 24, 10 am at Baghty (Soku). All members of the clan have been requested to attend the meeting.
LLRPO executive meeting
DIMAPUR: Lotha Lower Range Public Organization (LLRPO) has convened an executive meeting on April 23, 11 am at Bhandari Town Hall to discuss the Assam Nagaland border issue. Various committees, village chairmen and Head GBs’ have been requested to attend the meeting.
KSU 2nd union assembly postponed
DIMAPUR: The second union assembly of Kyong Students’ Union (KSU) scheduled on April 22 and 23 has been postponed to May 6 and 7. All the federating units have been informed that transportation would be arranged and the departure timing on May 6 would be 9.30am at police point, Wokha town and to contact 9436067110 for more information.
ANSTA Phek district meeting
DIMAPUR: All Nagaland School Teachers’ Association (ANSTA), Phek district has convened a meeting on April 30, 11am at Meluri (Mercy bridge). ANSTA Phek has requested all the executives, sub-unit presidents and representatives to attend the meeting. It also requested all responsible members to avoid tours and fixing of meetings on the scheduled date and informed Meluri sub-unit to look for the necessary arrangement.
ANDEMSA meeting
DIMAPUR: All Nagaland District Education Ministerial Staff Association (ANDEMSA) has convened a meeting on May 22, 10 am at DEO old office, near old Secretariat complex Kohima. All advisors, executives and responsible members have been requested to attend the meeting.
Railway line villagers meeting
DIMAPUR: Railway line villagers under Medziphema sub-division have convened a meeting on April 23, 10am at Medziphema town hall in connection with the proposed railway line. Railway line villagers Medziphema sub-division convener Bau Hama, has requested all responsible villagers under Medziphems sub-division to attend the meeting.
Healing crusade
DIMAPUR: The interdenominational PWD Staff Prayer Fellowship Committee (PWDSPFC) would be organizing healing crusade on April 23 and 24, 4pm at PWD staff housing complex Sematilla, Dimapur. DIMAPUR: Western Sumi Students’ Union (WSSU) has convened an emergency meeting on April 20, 11am at WSSU office. All unit presidents and general secretaries have been requested to come along with their respective advisors to attend the meeting.

KOHIMA: A meeting of all Abiram members of Nagaland and Manipur will be held on April 20, 12 noon at Mao Gate to discuss shortcomings and failures of the company.
Eastern People’s Union Zunheboto meet
DIMAPUR: Eastern People’s Union Zunheboto (ENPUZ) has convened an emergency meeting on May 16 at the union treasury. All members have been requested to attend the meeting. The union has also informed all citizens of Zunheboto who have kept Sangtam, Chang, Khiamniungan, Konyak, Phom, Yimchunger as domestic workers to register through ENPUZ office bearers or contact president at 9436674284 and general secretary at 9863123415 for details.
Sumi Hoho Nagaland meet cancelled
DIMAPUR: Sumi Hoho Nagaland has informed that the proposed meeting convened on April 20 and 21 at Sumi Baptist Akukuhou, Zunheboto has been cancelled due to some unavoidable circumstances. The Hoho has requested all to bear with the inconvenience.
Dr. B.T. Luen MBC graduation
DIMAPUR: The 8th graduation and commencement exercises for Dr. B.T. Luen Memorial Bible College (MBC) Tuli will be held on the April 21. Rev Dr. Jim Starr, Director Vision 2020 Asia will deliver the graduation message as well as the honours of graduation and dedication. A total of 10 students will graduate including three graduates in theology and seven in bachelor of theology.
NNC/FGN discharges one
DIMAPUR: NNC/FGN has discharged Neitho Angami son of Neibali Angami, Razou Peyu of Sumi region from the “active service” of the nation on health and domestic ground. In a press statement issued by “region secretary” Sumi region FGN stated that the government would remember his service in the years to come and further wished him early recovery and a successful life.
Dimapur Sanmilan informs
DIMAPUR: Dimapur Sanmilan in an executive meeting on April 18 decided to celebrate Rongali Bihu on June 27. The Sanmilan formed a Rongali Bihu committee and vice president Darmeswhar Kachari donated a room to Dimapur Sanmilan for office use which was inaugurated by Dimapur Sanmilan advisor D.K. Gogoi. The members of Dimapur Sanmilan have expressed gratitude to Darmeswhar Kachari and his family for their support.
Oath taking of NSWON new executive
DIMAPUR: The Oath taking and handing and taking over of the new executive of the NSWON would be administered by Lt.Gen.(Retd).VS.Atem convener, Steering Committee on April 21, 10 am at CHQ, Hebron. All NSWON members have been requested to attend the meeting.
ANSTA central informs
Kohima: The central executives of All Nagaland School Teacher’s Association (ANSTA) have decided to support 6th ROP Demand forum in regard to wearing “black arm bands” from April 22 to 28 as a sign of protest for non-implementation of 6th ROP in toto by the state government. All responsible units and sub-unit of the association have been informed to instruct schools under them to prepare ‘black arms bands’ and follow the direction promptly without confusion. It further informed all responsible that the next course of action will be announced later from the central ANSTA.
Kohima Pangti Kyong Ekhung meet
DIMAPUR: Kohima Pangti Kyong Ekhung (KPKE) has convened an emergency meeting on April 20, 3 pm to at the old official residence of its KPKE chairman N. Nyimtsemo Ngullie, government quarters Chandmari Kohima to discuss about the ongoing 2011 census and other important relevant matters for the Ekhung. In an official bulletin, all the KPKE members have been requested to attend the meeting.
