ZSU clarifies

DIMAPUR: Zapami Students’ Union (ZSU) reacting to the article published on April 17 in local dailies about the arrest of 2 persons at the by-pass check gate, Kohima along with 200 kg of contraband Ganja, where one of the accused Wekou Khutsoh son of Khape Khutsoh of Zapami village was mentioned in the paper as “totally false”.
The union clarified that there was no one by the name Wekou Khutsoh belonging to or hailing from Zapami village.
ZPU after lodging a complain in Pfutsero police station and after thorough verification by the police said the name published in the local dailies as Wekou Khutsoh turned out to be Wetso Mero son of Ditelhi Mero of Lekromi village as published in the local dailies on April 18.
The union appeal to the law enforcing authorities to have proper verification before going to the press.Further, the union also cautioned the general public and said the union will not tolerate such incident and shall take its own course of action if such similar incident happened in the future.
