NPSC exam on June 12
DIMAPUR: The preliminary examination for NCS/NPS/NSS and allied services examination will be held on June 12 and call letters for all eligible candidates would be issued very shortly individually by post. Secretary Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC) Dellirose M Sakhrie, has informed that if any candidate not in receipt of the call letter till one week before the examinations to contact commission office. Request for issuing of call letter would not be entertained after June 10.
Upper Chandmari Panchayat Council
KOHIMA: A general meeting cum felicitation programme of Upper Chandmari Panchayat Council has been convened on April 24 at 11 am at panchayat Hall. The council has requested all residents of Upper Chandmari Kohima to attend the meeting.
TU building inauguration
KOHIMA: Tenyimi Union (TU) Tseminyu building- cum- guest house will be inaugurated on April 24, 10 am at Tenyimi Union building near ADC office. Ahola Those, additional deputy commissioner Tseminyu will be the chief guest.
Closure of Lower Chandmari to AG colony road
KOHIMA: The Lower Chandmari to AG colony road will be closed with effect from April 23 till completion of the work. The road repair will start on April 23 for which, public have been requested to bear inconveniences during the period of repairing the road.
Revival crusade
DIMAPUR: The Zeliangrong Baptist Church youth department Dimapur would be organizing a three day long revival crusade from April 23 to 25 at Zeliangrong Baptist Church. The programme include Bible study which will start from 11am and revival service from 3pm everyday during the crusade. Further, all have been requested to attend the evening revival service.
NVC general public meeting
DIMAPUR: Nihoto Village Council (NVC) has convened a general public meeting on April 24 at 9am at council hall.
ATAN meeting venue changed
DIMAPUR: The venue of Aggrieved Teachers’ Association Nagaland (ATAN) meeting scheduled on April 23 has been shifted to ISBT Purana Bazaar and not at Town Hall as informed earlier. Members are informed to contact on 9856586082 for any queries.
HRA emergency meeting
DIMAPUR: The Hoteliers and Restaurant Association (HRA) has convened an emergency meeting on April 25 at 5pm at Apna Hotel, Dimapur. All the proprietors/managers of hotels and restaurants have been requested to attend the meeting. The association secretary and vice president further informed that any agendas passed in the meeting would be executed without any prior information to the absentees.
Work required on Tehok Mini Hydro power
DIMAPUR: Even though an amount of Rs 5 Crores has been provisioned for Tehok Mini Hydro power project contractors have been delaying start of work. Stating this in a press note MLA CL John appealed contractors to start execution of works rather then “inviting people agitation”. He further asked dignitaries to visit the spot for the benefit of general public and constituency.

Western Sumi Kukami Hoho
DIMAPUR: President Western Sumi Kukami Hoho Apeto Assmu (WSKH) has convened a general meeting of WSKH on April 24, 10 am at its office at Chekiye village.
Final verification of teachers in Wokha
DIMAPUR: Second and final phase of verification of bogus and absentee teachers under Wokha district would be conducted by Special Verification Committee (SVC) headed by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Wokha on April 27, 9.30am at the office chamber of DC Wokha. All listed teachers have been requested to attend the verification in person along with appointment order, educational documents, transfer order and two copies of recent passport size photograph.
SABC Bangalore alumni fellowship
DIMAPUR: The first Southern Asia Bible College (SABC), Bangalore Alumni Fellowship Nagaland would be held on May 14 at Town Baptsit Church, Dimapur at 4pm with Rev. Dr. Pravinkumar Israel, President, SABC as the speaker. All past pupils have been requested to attend this first ever SABC alumni gathering.

NBAU plea to revoke chairman’s impeachment
DIMAPUR: Nuton Bosti Ao Senso Telongjem (NBAST) secretary, Nungsangmanen on behalf of Nuton Bosti Ao Union (NBAU), Dimapur has informed that constitution of Nuton Bosti Council which was approved and adopted on November 9, 2007 for residents of Nuton Bosti has not provided any provision to executive committee of the council to impeach the chairman. However, executive committee had impeached the chairman ignoring the constitution for which, NBAU appealed to Nuton Bosti Council to revoke the impeachment order at the earliest.
ANAATA extension order
DIMAPur: All Nagaland Aggrieved Adhoc Teachers’ Association (ANAATA) has informed all its members (doubtful category) to collect their service extension orders from their respective ANAATA district unit representatives.
ANAATA president, Hekiye Lirika in a note informed that those who do not receive their extension order could contact mobile number 9612190610 on or before April 25.
Meanwhile, for Dimapur, the association has asked its members to collect the extension order from its office bearers at the DEO office Dimapur from 10 am onwards of April 23 and 24.
Rio exhorts Mon officers
DIMAPUR: State chief minister Neiphiu Rio while addressing Mon DPDB meeting said, his purpose of attending DPDB meet was to discuss developmental activities with officers, NGO’s and to identify the potential, weakness. Rio opined that funds released by government were not utilized properly for the development of the backward areas and therefore called for proper supervision and quality control in terms of utilizing the funds.
Minister for Urban Development and higher Education, Dr. Shurhozelie called upon NGOs’ to supervise and utilize fund judiciously. Doshehe. Y. Sema, minister for power called upon district officers to promote artist and called for change of mindset amongst Nagas. Second green revolution NE 2020 will be a total failure unless rural economy was empowered and proper plan was installed in the next 10 years, said minister for Agriculture, Dr. Chumben Murry. Pangnyu Phom, Parliamentary secretary, Rural development, REPA enumerating funds sanctioned for backward districts said 60,000 bundles of CGI sheet under IAY housing scheme regretted that no construction was done under the scheme.
Dinesh Kumar, DC Mon presented overall view of developmental activities in the district.
