Govt constitutes advisory committees

Governor of Nagaland has appointed executive officers of the dissolved municipal/town councils as the administrator with effect from the date of expiry of tenure of the concerned municipal/town councils to exercise, perform and discharge powers, duties and functions of civic bodies till the time elections were held and municipal/town Councils constituted.
The administrator has to exercise, perform and discharge the powers, duties and functions of the municipalities and town councils subject to such directions as may be given in this behalf by the government. Advisory committees have been considered to assist the Administrators. Advisory Committee for Kohima Municipal Council- Ahielie Theyo, Vibeilietuo, Neilietuo Kire, Kezhazer Whuorie, Vizetuo Solo, Kolachalie Seyie, Neisakuou Medom, Lhouvi Tsiekha, Er. Y. Chuba; Medziphema Town Council- Kekuosie, Abi Yalie, Ajungla Rhetso; Chumukedima Town Council- Thepfulhoutuo Shuya, Meribeni, Seyieu Keyho, P. Araba Longkumer, Razouvotuo; Wokha Town Council- Y. Thungchio Kikon, Meribemo Kinghen, Liren Odyuo, Loseno Ovung, Penathung Humtsoe, Tsenthungo Lotha, Dr. L.T. Murry; Changtongya Town Council- Lanukum, Imnasukup, Imtionen, Supongmenla; Tuli Town Council- L. Lepzuk, Tsungo Yaden, Moanaro; and for Mon Town Council- S. Manlip Konyak, L. Tongang Konyak, Hamnyei Konyak, Loklon Konyak, L. Theanglih Konyak. Powers and functions of the Committees would be to advise the Administrators within the parameters of Nagaland Municipal Act 2001. Advisory committees shall sit at least once in a month.
Government may by an order in writing remove any member of the advisory committees on grounds of misuse of his/her power or on persistent failure to perform his/her duties as a member of the advisory committees.
