Govt.employees wear black band

State government employees Thursday began its first phase protest by wearing black arm bands and badges in their respective workplaces demanding implementation of 6th RoP w.e.f January 1, 2006.
The employees would continue to wear bands and badges till April 28, which would followed by other forms of protest depending on situation.
The protest, organised by all Nagaland services 6th ROP demand forum, which represents 60 service associations, was carried out throughout the state.
The forum, in its last sitting had resolved to launch chains of protest till authority conceded to its rightful demand of 6th ROP.
In the state capital, Kohima, government employees were seen attending their offices wearing black badges and black arm bands.
Meanwhile, talking to Nagaland Post over the phone, the 6th ROP demand forum chairman Dr. David Sema said the agitation was successfully carried out in all the districts.
Earlier, the forum had said that despite its repeated representations to government, the government did not pay any heed.
