The opposition Congress Monday expressed dismay at the poor performance of the ministers and parliamentary secretaries during the sixth session of the eleventh Nagaland Legislative Assembly. Former chief minister, K. L. Chishi, on behalf of the opposition bench said that barring few ministers and parliamentary secretaries, none could properly or satisfactorily answer to supplementary questions. They are responsible people and should be responsible to do their homework and give proper answer as they are answerable to the people, Chishi said. Giving critical remark on the ruling bench, he referred the house and the session as that of Road Show and the Year of Capacity Building and said that the Road Show in the house by the treasury bench was poor and the Capacity building of the ruling bench was also very poor. Maintaining that the opposition bench was ‘not so serious’ this time as the session was only Vote on Account, Chishi asked the ruling bench properly prepare their home work for the next full budget session.
