NLA speaker adjourns House sine-die

Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA), speaker, Kiyanilie Peseyie adjourned the Sixth Session of the Eleventh Nagaland Legislative Assembly on Monday that saw four days of active deliberation by members of the House.
Concluding the session, the speaker lauded the members of the House for conducting the business in a cordial manner. He especially lauded the opposition bench for playing crucial role in giving multifarious and constructive criticisms on several issues.
He also expressed appreciation to the state chief secretary and state officials for their contributions that enabled the session to be held in an effective manner. The speaker lauded the members of the press and media for coverage of the proceedings of the House.
He announced the constitution of various financial and non-financial committees besides panel of chairman. The list of business on the last day session included laying of Annual Administrative Reports of 14 government departments by respective ministers and parliamentary secretaries in charge. Chairman, committee on public accounts Dr. Neikiesalie Nicky Kire presented the 91st, 93rd and 94th Reports on Action Taken by the Government on observations/recommendations on reports of C&AG of India, besides the 92nd Report of the Committee on Public Accounts (2009-2010) on the report of the C&AG.
The Session began on March 23, with the address by the Governor, followed by the Motion of thanks.
