ACCC 20 A/C Meluri has stated that there has been no power in the colonies of Sariethsi, Wutsi, Muloulie 1 & II, Kawusa and Rungaküsü since March 11.
The unit in a release by its president said the power department sanctioned Rs 400 lakhs for works programme in 2000-10 and Rs 226 lakhs was sanctioned in 2008-09 for construction of a substation but it said so far “ no sign” of construction was seen and appealed to the power department to restore power at the earliest.
The unit also stated that even though Rs 20 lakh was sanctioned for road construction for 2008-09 just 11 parcels of coal tar was used and all the lime paint in the construction was washed away last year. It also said Rs 25 lakhs was also sanctioned for improvement of road from Meluri ADC headquarters however nothing was done and condemned the state government for “fooling the public”.
