GITAM school of international business

The GITAM Institute of International Business, GITAM University, (formerly known as GITAM Institute of Foreign Trade) was started in 1997 in academic collaboration with Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), New Delhi.
Conceptualized as a centre of excellence in teaching, training, consultancy and research, the Institute is acclaimed as one of the top-ranking B-Schools in the country in international business.
It is now declared as an autonomous school of excellence by the GITAM University. Accordingly, the name of the institute is re-christened as GITAM School of International Business (GSIB) commencing from the academic year 2010-11.
Keeping its core competency in focus, all academic endeavors of the school will be on thrust areas, international business, global entrepreneurship, emerging areas, global logistics and supply chain management, international banking and finance, intellectual property rights, international trade laws and negotiations, internationalization of SMEs, strategic geopolitics and international business, cross-cultural management.
The school will be offering academic programmes like MBA (International Business) MBA (International Banking and Finance,MBA (Global Logistics and Supply Chain Management), Executive MBA (International Business), Certificate Course in Global Entrepreneurship, Certificate Course in Alternative Dispute Resolution in International Business, M. Phil (International Business), Ph. D (International Business).
The programmes in international business are innovative and earned appreciation from many from Industry and leading business schools in international business.
The MBA programmes are offered in trimester format, involving faculty from the school, from the leading business schools/institutes from India and abroad, and industry.
In addition to the above, the school will also offer in-service executive education programmes in international business, provide consultancy and engage in interdisciplinary research.
