IT training to GNM students

Institute of Communication & Information Technology (ICIT) Mokokchung will soon impart IT training to General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) students attached to Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital, Mokokchung as part of its institutional networking and resource sharing. According to ICIT Principal, Imsayuba Naga in an official bulletin, the training programme will start from April.
Established in 2002 under the Government of India’s ‘Third Technology Education’ project assisted by the World Bank, ICIT, the only International Standard Organisation 9001-2000 certified institute in the state offers three- year diploma programme on Information Technology, Computer Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering. Imsayuba said a total of 104 students have graduated from this institution since its inception, out of which 38 are pursuing higher studies. The Institute is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories with a library of 6075 volumes. The campus, with an area of 45 acres, is connected with 2 Mbps Optical Fibre Broad Band and 2 (two) V-Sat.
