KVK training on sustainable micro food processing units

Entrepreneurial development training is under way at Krishi Vigyan Kendra Mokokchung. The training is sponsored by ASSOCHAM (Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry India) with ‘food processing’ as the central theme of the training. Altogether 25 trainees are participating in the programme. Resource persons from KVK Porba, NABARD, and department of horticulture, District Industries Centre, and marketing division of department of agriculture, health and family welfare are among the different institutions and agencies that are imparting training to trainees. According to KVK programme coordinator, field visit was also organized on March 26, during which trainees were taken to milk processing plant, tea processing unit, lemon distillation unit and a visit to a local entrepreneur home production unit where cake baking was demonstrated by the entrepreneur Asangla.
The training is organized with the objective to empower the trainees to start and have sustainable micro food processing units.
