Training on organic tea production
DIMAPUR: Nagashine tea in consultation with the Agriculture department would be organizing a one day farmers training on production of organic tea on April 13 for tea planters of Akuluto, V.K. and Atoizu area at Tea factory Lumami village. The training would be imparted by resource persons from Agriculture department and One Cert Asia, Agricultural Organic Certification limited. Atoi Sema, sub divisional agriculture officer, Akuluto has requested all the interested tea farmers, registered or non-registered farmers with the Tea Board to attend the training and for more details to contact David Sumi, agriculture officer Akuluto on 9856176673 or SDAO Akuluto.
Wokha NMBS scheme
DIMAPUR: Beneficiaries of Wokha National Maternity Benefit Scheme (NMBS) have been informed to submit photocopy of BPL ration card or certification from authorized authority of BPL status with residence certification from respective village, colony chairman to hospital authority. BPL mothers who had undergone hospital delivery at Dr. Motsuo Memorial District Hospital Wokha from April 2009 till date have been informed to submit claims on or before April 15.
Forms for schools in Dimapur
DIMAPUR: All government private middle schools and primary schools under DIS Dimapur have been informed to collect form number 1, 70 and 90 (which have been supplied by NBSE) on or before April 10 at DIS office.
MDLH general meeting
DIMAPUR: Mon District Lotha Hoho (MDLH) has convened general meeting on April 4 at 1pm at the premises of Lotha Baptist Church, Mon Town. P. Nribemo Patton, chairman MDLH has requested all bonafide Lothas residing in different stations under Mon district to attend the meeting.
Rongmei Council Nagaland meeting
DIMAPUR: Rongmei Council Nagaland (RCN) has convened an executive meeting on April 10 at 10am at the residence of G. Patrick, Mhainamtsi village. James Akham, president RCN has requested all the executive members, responsible leaders and constitution drafting committee members to attend the meeting.
SOO annual meeting
DIMAPUR: The annual meeting cum election of office bearers of Sakrabami Outsider Organization (SOO) has been convened on April 9 at 1pm at the residence of Kuhucuyi D Vadeo, chairman SOO. All the executive members, unit representatives, two representatives from each unit and well wishers have been requested to attend the meeting.
KSU informs on Road show
DIMAPUR: Konyak Students’ Union (KSU) has informed all the Konyak officers staying outside Mon district to be present at Mon before April 5 to attend the roadshow scheduled from April 7 to 8 at Mon. T. Ngampai Konyak, general secretary KSU in a press statement said why the power department of Mon is observing ‘the earth day’ for the past five days and that so far no information about the power cut has been issued to the public. Further, KSU has urged the responsible department to restore the electricity at the earliest. Meanwhile, KSU has extended their greetings to all federating units and to the Konyak people on the occasion of Aoleang festival.
Future Commodity Marketing’ at Ziphenyu village
DIMAPUR: Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Kohima would be conducting awareness programme on ‘Future Commodity Marketing’ at Ziphenyu village on April 6. All the interested progressive farmers, farmers club members, SHG’s from the neighboring villages have been requested to attend the programme.
2 houses gutted in Zunheboto
DIMAPUR: Two houses were burnt at Zunheboto a couple of weeks ago, one on March 1 belonging to Dr. Inakhe and the other on March 18 at Project Colony belonging to Tokiye Sumi. Deputy Commissioner Zunheboto, Kiheto Zhimo visited the spot with police officials. DBs donated Rs. 3000/- each to the owners. According to the statement of the owner, the outbreak of the fire was due to short circuit of electric wires while nobody was present at home. Properties worth Rs. 70,000/- at the old town and Rs 1.3 lakhs at project colony were burnt. The fire was put out by neighbours at Old Town while at project colony; it was extinguished with the help of the fire brigade.
DPDB meeting postponed
DIMAPUR: The monthly District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting of Zunheboto district scheduled on April 8 has been postponed to April 15 at 11am at the conference hall of deputy commissioner’s office, Zunheboto. T. Kiheto Sema, deputy commissioner and vice chairman DPDB Zunheboto has requested all the members to note the change of date and to attend the meeting.
ANAGTU general meeting
DIMAPUR: All Nagaland Ad-hoc Graduate Teachers Union (ANAGTU) Dimapur unit has convened a general meeting on April 3, 10 a.m at GHSS, Half Nagarjan Dimapur. All Adhoc gradate teachers who had their documents verified for service regulations have been requested to attend the meeting. Meanwhile, ANAGTU central body has asked its district units to submit name list and membership fee of graduate teachers whose documents have already been verified by the directorate of school education on April 15 to treasurer. Sumi Baptist Akukuhou camping
DIMAPUR: Sumi Baptist Akukuhou (SBA), Purana Bazaar youth department would be organizing camping from April 8 to 10 under the theme, “set free” at Peniel Retreat centre, Hozukhe village. Associate youth director N. Mughai N. Achumi has requested all youths who have registered for camping to reach the Church premises by 6:30am on April 8.
Nuton Basti Council meet
DIMAPUR: Executive meeting of Nuton Basti Council has been convened on April 3, 7.30 am at community hall. All the council members, GBs, khel Chairmen and secretaries have been requested to attend the meeting.
KBYF prayer meeting
Kohima: The monthly prayer meeting of the Kohima Baptist Youth Fellowship will be held on April 3 at 7 am at Sumi Aphuyemi Baptist Church, Nagabazar Kohima. All youths of Kohima have been requested to attend the prayer meeting.
NASU emergency joint meeting
DIMAPUR: Nihokhu Area Students’ Union (NASU) has convened an emergency joint meeting on April 3 at 10am at the residence on union banker, David Zhimo. Ghotoi K Zhimo, president NASU has requested all the executives, advisors, area GBs and village council chairmen to attend the meeting.
NPF 21 Tuli A/C welcomes RJD supporters
DIMAPUR: The NPF Tuli A/C has welcomed the Anaki Yimsen RJD supporters led by Chuba Jamir and P. Nungsang Ltr along with 25 mmebers who had resigned and joined NPF party. Opang Yaden, president NPF 21 Tuli A/C welcoming the members said that their joining NPF would uplift and strengthen the party led by Dr. Shurhozelie, president NPF; chief minister, Neiphiu Rio and developmental minded leader MLA, L. Temjen Jamir.
Training on composite maize cultivation
DIMAPUR: ATMA Chiephobozuo block conducted training- cum- demonstration on composite maize cultivation at Phezha village on March 27. Improved method on package of practices on composite maize was delivered by Myanthung Patton, BTT convener while Vizolie and Pezaniu BTT members demonstrated on the field. On March 29, training cum demonstration on Jobstear cultivation at Chiechama village was conducted in the farmers field (Keshi Krotho FIG). Another training- cum- demonstration on Jobsatear was also conducted at Tsiemekhuma village on March 30. The topic was delivered by BTT convener followed by demonstration in the field by BTT members.
IRCSN holds blood donation camp
DIMAPUR: Indian Red Cross Society Nagaland, Kohima in collaboration with NSBTC and assisted by the Naga Hospital Authority conducted a voluntary blood donation camp for Red Cross volunteers on March 30 at the Conference hall of the Red cross Kohima. The programme was chaired by Lucy Merry APO IRCSN while the welcome address was delivered by Zakie Kire Secretary IRCSN. Dr R Zinyu MC member, delivering the keynote address stressed on the importance and need of voluntary blood donors . Motivational talk on blood donation was presented by Dr V Khamo , blood bank office NHA while the vote of thanks was proposed by Kholi Dolf MC member IRCSN. Altogether 33 volunteers along with MC members attended the camp where 12 blood groupings were done and 10 members donated their blood.
KBFC Revival camp held
DIMAPUR: Konyak Baptist Church Chumukedima (KBFC) organized a Revival Camp on the theme “ Be transformed by the reviewing of your life” from March 26 to 28 at the Fellowship compound. The camp was conducted by speakers Rev T Moina. Pastor KBFC Aomar evangelist , Ao Baptist Church Chumukedima . Toshi Ao , Asangla (NMM) evangelist and Ms Akala (NMM) evangelist. Aomar offered a special prayer saying that we are all sinners because of our weaknesses and no one would go home without blessings. Toshi Ao challenged the congregation to look forward and to serve God. Many people received blessings and testified receiving healing in the camp. Rev T Moina pronounced from Roman 12:2 “Be transformed by renewing of your life” Almighty God washed away our sins and we should change our mind and seek Him. About 300 people attended the Camp.
TSUD emergency meeting
DIMAPUR: Tenyimi Students’ Union Dimapur (TSUD) has convened an emergency meeting on April 3, 1pm. at Tenyimi complex.
