Sunrise service
DIMAPUR: Dimapur Baptist Women Union (DBWU) and Baptist Pastors’ Fellowship (BPF) would be jointly organizing eastern sunrise service on April 4 at Naga Cemetery, Kher Mahal Dimapur at 6 am. Dr. Katoni Jakhalu, secretary DBWU has invited all to attend the programme. Further, the executive members of DBWU have been requested to report for social work on April 3 at 7am at Naga Cemetery.
FONSESA meeting
DIMAPUR: Executive meeting of Federal Council members of Federation of Nagaland State Engineering Service Association (FONSESA) has been convened on April 7, 2 p.m at PWD Conference Hall to deliberate on the issue of 6th ROP and its charter of demands. All members or representatives have been informed to attend the meeting.
Phom Monyü fest
DIMAPUR: The Bhümvanghongnyü Union Dimapur (BUD) would be celebrating Phom Monyü festival on April 3 at the residence of Hipong Phom, Ex-IBM Singal Bosti, Dimapur. K. Chingaei, president BUD has requested all the members to attend the function. Further, the union has requested all the heads of the departments and private to kindly grant leave to all its members on April 3 for the celebration of festival.

DIMAPUR: Executive meeting of Merangkong Students Union Dimapur (MSUD) has been convened on April 3, 10 am at the residence of its treasurer. All executive and finance members have been informed to attend the meeting.

DIMAPUR: Nagaland Contractors and Suppliers Union (NCSU), Phek district unit has convened an emergency meeting on April 7 at 11am at Fira Hotel, Kohima. Setso Puro, president NCSU Phek unit has requested all the executive members to attend the meeting.
NGHSSOA meeting
DIMAPUR: Nagaland Government Higher Secondary School Officers Association (NGHSSOA) has convened a meeting on April 7 at Government Higher Secondary School, Kohima at 10am. All office bearers, principals, vice principals and school representatives have been informed to attend the meeting.
Arms license verification in Kohima
KOHIMA: In pursuance of government notification, Kohima DC, Beiu Angami has directed all Arms license applicants to have their antecedent and character certificates verified from SP Kohima, and submit it along with application form to DC office for further endorsement to the government.
CM to inaugurate link road, council hall
KOHIMA: The inauguration of Khuzama Agri Link Road and Khuzama Village Council Hall would be held on April 6 at 9 am by state chief minister Neiphiu-o Rio. The Khuzama Village Council has informed that the inaugural programme scheduled on April 7 has been rescheduled to April 6 due to unavoidable circumstances.
ATAN Mokokchung supports
MOKOKCHUNG: The Aggrieved Teachers Association (ATAN) of Mokokchung in its meeting on April 1 have decided to support the stand of Aggrieved Teachers Association of Nagaland and resolved to stand firmly till justice was delivered without any bias. This was informed in a press release issued by ATAN Mokokchung secretary Lipok and president Tongpangnok.
MA Political Science results declared
DIMAPUR: The provisional result of MA Political Science 2nd and 4th semester examinations on Nagaland University held in the month of October 2009 has been declared. This has been informed in a press note issued by Dr. Tongpang Ao, controller of examinations.
Kithan assures improvement in Wka offices
DIMAPUR: With a view to strengthen and to bring about a change in the functioning and working system for good governance, Parliamentary Secretary for Prisons, Home Guards, Fire & Emergency Services, W. Kithan visited various Offices at Wokha on March 31,namely DHO, DEO, DIS, DPRO, Deputy Commissioner Office and DRDA. W. Kithan also interacted with the officers and staff and took note of their grievances and assured to bring about improvement for the smooth functioning of the office.
XVC apologizes to EE Chumukedima
DIMAPUR: Xelhozhe Village Council (XVC) has apologized to EE Chumukedima regarding the news item which appeared under the caption “appeal to EE Chumukedima”. The village council stated that the statement was completely baseless and has been published without the consent of XVC. This was informed in a press note issued by Zuvito Achumi, chairman XVC.
UC to start 3rd year classes from April 6
DIMAPUR: The Unity College (UC), Dimapur has informed that classes for third year students will commence from April 6 without waiting for the results. Dr. S.K. Chhabra, principal UC Dimapur in a press statement said the admission for 3rd year would be done only after declaration of results and students can attend the classes without paying any amount till the results are declared. Further, informed that subjects or chapters would not be taught again if a student fails to attend the classes.
Appeal to SDO Civil Jalukie
DIMAPUR: A Mahindra Marshal bearing registration number NL 10/4385 was allegedly stopped on March 31 at around 10:30 pm at Jalukie “B” second speed breaker by unknown miscreants. Stating this in a letter addressed to SDO (C ) Jalukie signed by Temsu Ao, Hutovi Sema, Yanger Phom, Aren Ao and Yapang Ao the occupants were assaulted by the miscreants and the vehicle keys were taken away. The signatories have appealed to the SDO to intervene in the matter.
Naga Idol 05, 2010
Mokokchung:The Naga Idol 05, 2010 would be organized by Hunting Boots Inc. Mokokchung in collaboration with Mokokchung district art and culture council (MDACC). This year’s edition of Naga Idol promises to be an improved and more sophisticated one. The official flag off of the Naga Idol 05 will be done during the Mokokchung District Road Show to be held along with the Ao festival ‘Moatsu’.

DIMAPUR: The DPDB meeting for Dimapur district has been convened on April 5 at 11 am at town hall, Medziphema.
NPF Phek meeting
KOHIMA: NPF Phek division has convened a meeting on April 13, 11:30 am at Hotel Japfü. All divisional office bearers, NPF legislators, two representatives from each area constituency, frontal women president and youth president have been asked to attend the meeting.
Shohemi prayer meeting
DIMAPUR: The prayer meeting of Shohemi clan in all the Sumi areas would be observed on April 16 and 17 at Rotomi village, Zunheboto district. S. Yekhevi Shohe, secretary Shohemi Kuposhukulu has requested all Shohemi clan in Sumi areas to attend the prayer meeting and further requested all to reach the village by 3pm.

KOHIMA: The monthly prayer meeting of the Kohima Baptist Youth Fellowship will be held on April 3 at 7 am at Sumi Aphuyemi Baptist Church, Nagabazar Kohima.
PSC informs on ILP
KOHIMA: The Phom Students Conference (PSC) informed all the non-locals residing under Longleng district that the Inner Line Permit under Longleng town will be issued on April 9 and 10 and Tamlu town will be issued on April 13. All individuals are required to bring one recent passport for renewal and two passports for new registration.
Ex-servicemen and widows meeting
DIMAPUR: Zila Sainik Welfare Officer (ZSWO), Dimapur has informed all ex-servicemen and widows of ex-servicemen of Dimapur district that there would be a meeting or interaction with GOC HQ 3 Corps, Rangapahar on April 7. Informing this in a press note issued by Lt Col RS Ahluwalia (Retd), ZSWO has requested all to report on April 7, at 8:30 hours to Sainik Bhawan, near Circuit house Dimapur. Further, informed that payment ration of sugar and liquor would be issued on April 8 and not on April 7.

DIMAPUR: The Kohima Press Club (KPC) will hold its annual picnic cum get-together on April 3 at Hydro Project (Forbay), Jotsoma. Informing this in a release, KPC vice-president Eric Miacheo has asked all its members and well wishers to be present at the picnic.
House-listing census in Wokha
DIMAPUR: In connection with the house-listing census 2010, SDO (C) Headquarter, Wokha and Sub-Division Census Officer informed all colony GBs and Chairmen of Wokha town to submit list of households in their respective colonies. The list are to be submitted to SDO (C) Wokha on April 5 at 3 p.m.
