NBSE seminar on CCE scheme

North Eastern States Boards and Councils of Secondary and Higher Secondary under the initiative of Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE) in India will be organising a seminar on April 7 in Kohima to deliberate on academic and examination related issues pertaining to the region especially on Continuous and Comprehensive evaluation (CCE).
The seminar is organised by Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE). The chairmen, secretaries and officials of the State boards and councils of the North- East and officials from COBSE will be participating in the seminar. According to NBSE chairman Nini Meru, the seminar will focus on developing a framework for implementation of CCE scheme in the respective states.
Resource persons from COBSE will deliver talks on the importance of CCE and target the strategies of implementing the scheme.
NBSE had already made a beginning by introducing the mode of assessment through CCE from the year 2007 with a view to bring qualitative changes in the system of evaluation.
