AR awards diploma certificate to students

The second batch of students from Medziphema sub-division received their Diploma in Computer Application after successfully completing a 16 week course.
According to a defence release, a total of 17 students attended the course of which 14 were girls.
The performance of the student was of exceptionally high order wherein eight students scored above 70 percent marks.
All the 17 students were awarded a diploma by the Commandant in a function at the computer training centre which was established at 20 Assam Rifles at Ghaspani in November last year.
Speaking to Commandant of 20 Assam Rifles announced the commencement of Hardware Management Course from April in which he added that the present set of students were free to join.
This computer training centre is affiliated with the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Nagaland and has most modern facilities with 10 computer terminals with internet facility and ergonomically comfortable furniture where 20 students can be trained in each batch.
The third batch of 40 students has also commenced training of which 29 are girls.
Interacting informally after the ceremony Chongneikim Haokip who topped the course stated that it was the first time ever that such a facility has been extended for free to the population and would go a long way in providing opportunities to the local youth in becoming self reliant and wean them away from insurgency.
