He claimed that Police had not received any information either from the Manipur government nor the carriage contractors regarding the incident . Lotha also said that the matter came to light only after the arrest of one NSCN(K)activists identified as ‘ss’ sergeant Sunny Anal on Sunday evening. It may also be mentioned that two of Sunny’s accomplices managed to escape when they were challenged by a police patrol.
Meanwhile, police said that the arrested cadre, after sustained interrogation confessed that he along with two of his other accomplices identified as- ‘ss’ corporal Lovejoy and ‘ss’ sergeant Hopenary were sent from Manipur under the command of Abei Anal chairman Chandel region to warn the drivers not to move their trucks from the campus of the FCS at Dimapur.
