DIGP informs recruiting candidates
DIMAPUR: Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP), R/NAP cum chairman, Dimapur District Recruitment Board Dimapur, L. Singsit IPS has informed intending candidates for recruitment to the post of constable (G.D) in respect of Dimapur district whose names had been accepted to report at NAPTC Stadium, Chumukedima on April 7, 7 am for appearing the medical/ physical test. ID card and chest numbers of the candidates would be issued individually from the venue itself. All the intending candidates have been cautioned to be aware of touts and any information relating to this matter and to communicate recruitment board members directly. The DIGP also directed that any individual or group found indulging in such illegal activities would be penalized as per the law.
DPDB Tuensang meet deferred
DIMAPUR: Tuensang District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meet which was scheduled to be held on April 6 has been deferred to April 22 which would be addressed by state chief minister Neiphiu Rio. Deputy commissioner Tuensang Y.L Jami has requested all ministers, parliamentary secretaries and MLAs under Tuensang district to attend the meeting. All heads of departments under Tuensang district have also been requested to attend the DPDB meet in person and to come prepared with their developmental activity report/project/proposal for the meeting failing which stern action would be taken.
SRSU emergency meeting
KOHIMA: Satakha Range Students’ Union (SRSU) has convened an emergency meeting on April 13, 10 am at the residence of its union banker, Yehato K. Swu. All officer bearers have been asked to attend the meeting.
ANSS executive meeting
KOHIMA: An executive meeting of the All Nagaland State Services 6th ROP Demand Forum would be held on April 8, 3 pm at Zonal Council Hall. All members have been asked to attend the meeting.
YAA federal assembly rescheduled
TUENSANG: Yimchungrü Akherü Arih-ako (YAA) federal assembly has been postponed and rescheduled to April 16 at Pungro Town. All the executive and federal representative of the unions have been requested to reach the venue on April 15 and informed to bring light bedding. YAA also informed to contact Toking President YSUTT at 9612110397 for necessary transport arrangement.
Picnic cum get together
KOHIMA: The Kikhi and Pusa clans Viswema will hold its picnic cum get together on April 10, 11am at St Joseph Higher Secondary School ground. All the clan members have been requested to attend the feast and there will be registration for all the members who attend the feast.
NESNOR general meeting
DIMAPUR: New Shena Non-Residents’ Organization (NESNOR) has convened a general meeting on April 16, 1pm at the residence of Pukhashe Yeptho, Padampukhuri Dimapur. All members have been requested to attend the meeting.
ANRSAA meeting
DIMAPUR: All Nagaland Regular Sectional Assistants’ Association (ANRSAA) has convened its general meeting on April 16, 10.30am at PWD Rest House, Dimapur to deliberate and elect new office bearers for the next tenure. All district units’ chairmen and office bearers have been requested to attend the meeting. Meanwhile, ANRSAA president, S. Hekuto Aye has informed all district units’ chairmen to submit yearly membership fee of Rs.100 each (RSA) to central fund for office maintenance.
AVBC meeting
DIMAPUR: Akuk Village Baptist Church (AVBC) has convened a general meeting on April 22, 7am onwards at AVBC building to discuss agendas for its forthcoming Platinum Jubilee celebration scheduled to be held in 2012. All responsible persons and members of Akuk village have been requested to attend the meeting.
NYO meeting
DIMAPUR: Namgalong Youth Organisation (NYO), Burma Camp has convened a meeting on April 17, 4pm at Namgalong council hall and requested all the executive members to attend the meeting. It further informed that the raffle draw of NYO scheduled on April 2 has been postponed to April 18, 3pm at Namgalong council hall.
Kigwema Union Kohima annual day
DIMAPUR: Kigwema union Kohima (KUK) would observe its annual day on April 10 at Kholera Ground, Kigwema, Govt. High School, 11 am. All the members have been requested to attend the programme. The bus service would be availed for the members at 10 am at SABT Building (Thepfule Zutso) and BOC points.

KSU assembly session
DIMAPUR: Kyong Students’ Union (KSU) will hold its 2nd assembly session for tenure 2008-10 on April 22 and 23 at New Ralan village, co-hosted by Ralan Area Students’ Union. All federating units of KSU have been requested to attend the session and forward agendas. A press release issued by union assembly speaker, Chumchio T. Odyuo informed that KSU would implement its union resolution No.1 dealing with barring of voting rights during its general elections for units failing to attend union assembly session for two consecutive terms. It also stated that 15 units have been affected under the resolution and thereby barred of vote casting at KSU general election for the tenure 2010-12. Further, KSU has cautioned all units that failure to attend its union assembly session for three consecutive times would result in de-affiliation from KSU.

DIMAPUR: Kyong Students’ Union (KSU) Platinum Jubilee steering committee has convened a meeting on April 10, 10 am at LTC Hall Wokha. The meeting would deliberate on its forthcoming cultural exhibition with neighboring areas and other activities preceding its jubilee celebration scheduled to be held in December. All conveners and committee members have been requested to attend the meeting. KSU also informed that there would be an executive meeting after the jubilee committee meeting and requested all KSU executives and assembly secretaries to attend the meeting.
Weekly Thursday market at Baghty
DIMAPUR: APMC Baghty and Local Market Committee (LMC) Baghty town have informed that weekly Thursday Market would be organized from April 8 within the market yard of APMC Baghty in order to provide facility to rural producers/farmers of the area. All APMSCs on VMCs under APMC Baghty and interested traders have been requested to avail opportunity on sale and purchase of commodities.
DIMAPUR: All Nagaland District Ministrial Staff Association (ANDMSA) has convened a general meeting on April 13, 11 am at DC’s conference hall Dimapur. All office bearers, executive members, superintendent, senior Has and all responsible have been requested to attend the meet.
NPCC informs
DIMAPUR: Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) has informed that in view of the exercise conducted by screening committee on party enrollment, it was further necessary to make arrangements for filing of claims and objections to the list of members together with eligible contestants for participation to the organizational election 2010. NPCC further notified that the list of members and eligible candidates was published and displayed in the Congress Bhavan Kohima notice board and respective DCC are directed to submit their report to NPCC office before April 15.
GTBC platinum jubilee board meet
DIMAPUR: Ghuvishe-Tsuko Baptist Church (GTBC) planning board of platinum jubilee has convened a meeting on April 14, 9 am in the church premises. All planning board members and sub-committee members have been requested to attend the meet.
Disaster management trg in Wokha
DIMAPUR: One day disaster management training was conducted by civil defence and home guard department Wokha for Wokha district Bharat Scouts and Guides (BS&G) on March 30. Speaking on the occasion DIS Wokha Solanthung Lotha urged the scouts and guides to act as a guide in the society. Meanwhile, Wokha BS&G has expressed gratitude to Tali Jamir deputy commandant, his colleagues, Pisamo Ngullie PHM and his team of resource persons from civil and home guard department for imparting the training. The team also thanked SP Wokha Seijomong Sangtam for providing bus service.
Disaster management for ward members
DIMAPUR: Department of Home Guards and Civil Defence along with the Kohima District administration would be organizing one day Disaster Management Awareness training on April 7, 10 am onwards at DC’s conference hall for representatives from 19 Wards of Kohima town, stated an official bulletin. All ward chairmen have been requested to depute at least five participants from each ward to attend the training programme.
New community hall in Peshu village
DIMAPUR: Commandant H. Panging F.M. 1st Assam Rifle Tuensang inaugurated the community hall at Peshu village Tuensang district on Monday as the chief guest. The community hall has been constructed under DGAR, MCA project during 2008-09.According to an official bulletin, Subedar Surendra Singh was the guest of honour. The chief guest also donated Rs. 7000 to the Peshu dance group. The programme was chaired by W.C. Kui village Council Chairman while welcome address was delivered by head GB Mongti and benediction was pronounced by Shing Church clerk.
