Chiephobozou central council and Elder’s Forum visit offices

Elder’s Forum, Northern Angami –II (A/C) and the Central Council, Chiephobozou said that the Government have provided 15 various departments under Northern Angami-11 (A/C) Sub-Division Chiephobozou with enough staff for maintaining and smooth functioning of all the office since long time back, but many department staff were found drawing their salaries at Kohima and failed to attend their duties at Chiephobozou.
After learning all this, the Elder’s Forum had visited all the departments on November 7, 2008 and submitted their report to state chief secretary on November 22, 2008.
In a joint release issued by Elder’s Forum, Northern Angami –II (A/C) president Thinuovio Khana, general secretary Neituo Huozha and Central Council, Chiephobozou chairman Neichiituo Rio disclosed that March 11, the Central council, Chiephobozou along with the Elder’s Forum decided to visit all the department in order to know how many staff were at the headquarters and to enquire about their well being and difficulties, but found that most of the department officers I/C and staff were not properly attending their duties.
The department found functioning were ADC & staff, medical, DIET, power, police, rural bank, post office, CDPO, BDO- only chowkidar present, SDO-11 PWD (R&B) only chowkidar present.The department found locked were E.E. Construction division PWD (R&B), PHED, forest, veterinary animal husbandry and DIS.
Further the Central Council and Elder’s Forum stated that the motive behind their visit was not because of personal enmity but with an aim to join hand for better understanding and to secure and uplift their Sub-Div headquarters for the welfare of the people. The Central Council and Elder’s Forum have decided to continue this kind of visit in future and warn that the absentee name & designations will be publishing in all the local newspapers.
