Rio inaugurates Khuzama link road, council hall

Khuzama village agri-link road (Chokhwi) and village council hall was inaugurated on Tuesday by state chief minister Neiphiu Rio.
Addressing the occasion Rio lauded Khuzama villagers for implementing developmental projects like the village agri-link road and village council hall. Besides, maintaining peace and unity amongst villagers, Rio said that hardships in life bear good fruit. He also called upon the people to move away from being a consumer society to that of a producer’s society.
The chief minister said that the union government had several welfare programs such as National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA), National Rural Health Mission(NRHM), Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) and Rashtriya Madhyimik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) and the programms were implemented through respective state government and said government was there for the welfare of people.
The chief minister also said that state Government declared 2010 as Year of Entrepreneurs and urged upon the people, especially the youths to make best use of the opportunities provided by the government
Pointing out that with ever growing of population and expansion of human habilitation, the chief minister stressed the need to have proper planning with infrastructural development and a high time for the people think to settle in sub-urban, satellite town ship outskirts of city.
Taking the opportunity, the chief minister made a fervent appeal to the Southern Angami villages to provide water to the state capital and urged upon the villages to talk and discussed amongst themselves and so that they could provide water to the state capital.
Among others, the programme was attended by Ministers for Home, Imkong L. Imchen, Road & Bridges, G. Kaito Aye, PHE, Dr. Ngangshi, Agriculture, Dr. Chumben Murry and Parliamentary Secretaries for Tourism, Law & Justice, Yitachu and Social Welfare, Child & Women Development, Chotisuh Sazo, Advisor for New & Renewal, Deo Nukhu, Congress MLA KV Pusa and Commissioner & Secretary for Rural Development, Viketol Sakhrie along with other dignitaries.
Earlier the function was chaired by Sedehol Sale, convenor organizing committee, invocation prayer was given by Kevisezo Hibo, pastor KBC, special song were presented by Khuzama Youth, Khuzama women society, greetings by Vizosiil Liiho, chairman KVC. A brief reports on new council hall was given by Er. Hito Visa, and Agri Link Road was given by Mehozol Hibo, VDB Secretary and the votes of thanks was proposed by Keneilesa Neikha.
