Hollohon exhorts DBDP meet

Monthly meeting of Dimapur District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) for the month of April was held at Medziphema on April 5. The meeting was chaired by Vice Chairman DPDB & Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur, Maongwati Aier in the absence of the Chairman. Initiating the meeting the chairman welcomed K. Hollohon MLA who represented Ghaspani II and all members present in the meeting.
The board reviewed the last meeting minutes and discussed agendas on proposal for construction of 200 mts CRSM Drain at Signal to Viola Colony at an estimates cost of Rs. 12 lakhs. The board decided that the sanction would be done through LADP fund in the next financial year.
ADC Medziphema, S. Doungel submitted proposals that included up gradation of OC to SDPO level at Medziphema; creation of sub-treasury office at Medziphema; up gradation of Government High School to Higher Secondary with Science stream; construction of town road; improvement of water supply for the town; construction and repair of Ato-Kuki irrigation channel and up gradation of power supply from 100 to 200 KV.
The board decided to forward it to the government for consideration. K. Hollohon while welcoming the board members encouraged the officers from Medziphema sub-division to come forward with development plans for the improvement of the area, which he said that he will extend full support and cooperation for the up-liftment and for the benefit of the sub-division.
DC Dimapur informed the board that the census enrolment for Dimapur district will be launched from June 1for which he requested to all head of officers to spare their supervisors and enumerators to make the census enrolment successful. He further said that Dimapur district administration has set up four committees for verification of bogus and doubtful teachers from May 12 to 28.
