Tikhir Tribal Council (TTC) general Hoho 2010 session was held from April 29 to 30 at TTC Hq. Kiusam Town in Kiphire district with different social organizations of TTC, public leaders, intellectuals, village elders, government’s administration from Tikhir tribe and well wishers attending the session. The total numbers of representative present in the session was 570. TTC in a press statement said the council resolved to continue their support and extend cooperation to the ongoing peace process of Naga political issues initiated by GPRN/NSCN (IM) NSCN (K) or FGN.
Further, it said the council would not allow firing and bloodshed amongst the factions under Tikhir inhabited areas and that if any factions carry out firing and bloodshed and aggravate the public atmosphere, support and co-operation would be withdrawn from those particular groups adding this had been made with one accord for want of peace and tranquility under Tikhir jurisdiction. it also resolved to continue their stand to conserve cordial relations with all the neighboring tribes for sustaining peaceful co-existence.
Meanwhile, TTC urged all the council members and VDB secretaries to utilize the funds received for various schemes from government transparently and judiciously for proper village developments.
