Lightning closure of shops in Dimapur

Expressing solidarity over Mao gate incident, the Dimapur Naga students’ union (DNSU) enforced a lightning closure of all the shops in Dimapur late Thursday evening. Speaking to this reporter over the phone, the DNSU president Medo sai8d lightning closure of shop was carried out as per the directives of NSF. However, he said that business would resume as usual from tomorrow. Meanwhile, the deputy commissioner Dimapur Maongwati Aier told Nagaland Post that he had conveyed his concern to the DNSU leaders over the sudden closure of shops. While sharing sympathy with the victims, Aier however said sudden bandh casues inconvenience to public. Meanwhile, Dimapur chamber of commerce and Nagaland Medical Dealers Association has informed all shopkeepers in and around Dimapur to keep the business establishments opened as usual on Friday.
