LPG supply affected
DIMAPUR: Installation of Carosul in Duliajan LPG Bottling Plant, IOC Ltd is affecting the regular supplies in the region particularly Nagaland. President Nagaland LPG distributors association, M. Bendangnukshi Longkumer informed that completion was nearing end and regular and smooth supply was expected in a few days. Consumers have been requested to bear with the situation.
State level review meeting postponed
DIMAPUR: State level review meeting and field officers training on rodent pest management has been postponed to May 11, 12 and 13. State level IPM refresher training has also been postponed to the month of June, details of which will be intimated soon. This was informed by director of agriculture.
woman held with IMFL
DIMAPUR: A 42 year old woman was arrested by the police from Anwar Hussain Road on Friday afternoon around 1 pm for transporting IMFL. Police disclosed that an information was received from reliable sources that a Santro car (NL07 6847) was transporting IMFL from Assam. On frisking the said vehicle, 30 cases of canned beer, 10 cases of MC Rum, 4 cases of Kingfisher beer and 134 bottles (quarter) of Blenders Pride was seized. The accused identified as Medono Angami was arrested by the police and booked under NLTP. (Staff Reporter)
Naga Hoho emergency meeting
DIMAPUR: The Naga Hoho has convened an emergency meeting on May 8 at 11am at Naga Heritage, Kohima. All tribe presidents, representatives and executive members of Naga Hoho have been requested to attend the meeting.

Longleng DPDB meeting rescheduled
DIMAPUR: In view of Road Show cum Phom Day celebration, the Longleng District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting scheduled on May 11 has been rescheduled on May 13.
One arrested with fake pistol
DIMAPUR: A non local person was apprehended by an IRB patrolling from Railway gate area on Thursday evening around 5 pm after he was found threatening the residents with a fake pistol. According to police, the accused identified as Rois Ali had entered into a house and was threatening the owners, when the IRB patrolling noticed the commotion and apprehended him in the process.
