15th ENGOA general conference
DIMAPUR: The 15th general conference of Eastern Nagaland Gazetted Officers’ Association (ENGOA) has been convened on May 14 at Mon with C.M. Chang, MP Lok Sabha as the chief guest. All the members have been requested to reach Mon on May 13 and all the joint secretaries of the districts to ensure good participation from their respective jurisdiction.
International nurses day
DIMAPUR: The Trained Nurses Association of India, local branch Kohima NHAK would be celebrating International Nurses Day on May 12 at 11am at NHAK auditorium with Alemtemshi, IAS additional chief secretary and development commissioner as chief guest. All the nursing personnel in and around Kohima district have been requested to attend the celebration.
AASJCJ general meeting cum get together
DIMAPUR: The Alumni Association of St. Joseph’s College Jakhama (AASJCJ) will be organising its general meeting cum get together on May 22 at 10am at the college premises. Programme in Biotechnology
DIMAPUR: Department of Science and Technology, Government of Nagaland in collaboration with the Department of Biotechnology, government of India and Biotech Consortium India Limited (BCIL), New Delhi would be organizing four days workshop on “Entrepreneurship development programme in Biotechnology” from May 11 to 14 at Zonal Council Hall, Kohima. The registration would commence from 9am to 9:30am followed by inaugural function and all the selected applicants have been requested to attend the workshop.

ANRSSA meeting
DIMAPUR: Meeting of All Nagaland Regular Sectional Association (ANRSSA) has been convened on May 14, 10.30 am at PWD meeting hall, Kohima. ARSSA has informed all district chairmen and RSA to submit membership fee of Rs. 100 for the year to central office. The association also requested all district unit chairmen and office bearers to attend the meeting and all regular sectional assistance to arrange their own expenditure.
ANSS 6th ROP demand forum meet
DIMAPUR: Executive meeting of All Nagaland State Services (ANSS) 6th ROP demand forum would be held on May 10, 2 pm at Zonal Council Hall. All constituent associations, departments have been requested to depute their official representatives for the meeting.

DIMAPUR: The Legislator’s Forum of HIV and AIDS (LFA) - Nagaland is conducting HIV and AIDS advocacy at Sanis Town on May 13, 9.30 am at the Community Hall Sanis Town. Rape, murder flayed
KOHIMA: Eastern Nagaland Women Organization, Wangching Union Kohima and Konyak Union have condemned the rape and murder of Shikna of Wanching village. Stating that the act was inhuman and uncivilized, the unions and organisations appealed to the authorities to award befitting punishment to the culprits who were identified as non- locals engaged in road constructions. They further extended condolence to the bereaved family.

HM on burning of trucks
KOHIMA: In a startling disclosure, state home minister Imkong L Imchen told media Friday evening that the DGP Manipur Police had written to DGP Nagaland Police, dated May 1 via a WT Message not to provide security escort to Manipur trucks from Nagaland on May 3. It may be recalled here on May 3, six goods laden Imphal bound trucks were set ablaze and completely destroying four while two were partially damaged between Viswema and Khuzama on the NH-39, six kilometer short of Mao gate. DGP Nagaland Police K. Kire said that Nagaland Police use to provide security escort to Manipur trucks from Nagaland on usually on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Prog for entrepreneurs
DIMAPUR: Both male and female between the age group of 21and 35 years with (10+2) education qualification interested to join entrepreneurial class have been invited to MCCI office for registering names between 10:30 am to 4 p.m during all working days to take part in Entrepreneurship Awareness Program (EAP) for selection of 100 nos. of entrepreneurs of Mokokchung. Selected candidates will be sent for training by government, mentored by MCCI and industry and commerce department in partnership with planning department. Registration will be done till May 15.
