Naga Council Dimapur, GPRN/NSCN condemn attack on Naga Hoho, FNR members

Naga Council Dimapur: Naga Council Dimapur has condemned the dastardly attack on Naga Hoho leaders Chuba Ozukum, general secretary, G. Vashum, joint secretary and Nipuni Piku, FNR on May at Hotel Grandeur Kohima by unidentified armed miscreants.
Naga council president, Savi Liegise and general secretary, Ntsemo Ngullie expressed that Hoho leaders have sacrificed full time and energy for the welfare and common interest of Nagas and to have inflicted grievous injury on leaders of the Naga premiere organization was indeed despicable and a disgrace to Naga spirit of brotherhood and tolerance. Condemning the attack, the hoho also urged the law enforcement agency and authorities to investigate the matter in full earnest and book the culprits in a befitting manner so as to prevent future occurrence.
Meanwhile, GPRN/NSCN has expressed shock over the assault on Naga Hoho leaders, Chuba Ozukum, G. Vashum and FNR member, Nepuni Piku on May 9. A GPRN/NSCN ministry of information and publicity (MIP) release said that the “perpetrators” of the crime, whether committed on their own or at the behest of any authority, must be booked at the earliest irrespective of any party affiliation. Stating that it does not believe in targeting Naga leaders, the GPRN/NSCN assured its assistance towards the investigating agency. Meanwhile, it wished the three functionaries of civil societies early recovery and return stronger, in the service of the Nagas.
