Madhubani painting workshop in Kohima

A five day workshop on Madhubani painting or “Mithila painting” got underway at Assam Rifles High School, Kohima on Monday, organized organised by SPIC MACAY to promote the folk form of Indian painting that is practiced in the Mithila region of Bihar and Jankpur in Nepal. Renowned artists Sushil Kumar Shastri and Anita Mishra will be conducting the workshop for more than 25 students from Assam Rifles High School and few students from Don Bosco School.
The instructors used different aids like computer and projector to explain the nuances of this art form to children.
