15 NAP Mahila IR recruits pass out

It was a proud moment of the 82 havildars and 724 constables of the state’s first Mahila battalion of the 15 NAP (IR) and the country’s second (after Rajasthan Police), when they presented an impressive march past at the attestation parade at the NAPTC sports stadium in Chumukedima Wednesday.
Nagaland Home Minister Imkong L.Imchen took the salute. In his address, Imchen congratulated the recruits and said they have made history in the annals of Nagaland Police. He urged them to be an exemplary force and diligent in their duties. He said that as the 15 NAP (IR) Mahila might be the first and their performance could decide if future Mahila battalions would be raised.
The following were awarded certificates for commendable performance in various fields: Havildars: best in PT - Moalemla Ao; best in drill- Changpen Phom; best in weapon handling- Lanumenla Ao; best in indoor subjects (written)- Phalneiting Kuki. Constables: best in PT -Akhah Konyak; best in drill- Tatongkala; best in weapon handling- Simparti Kachari; best in indoor subjects (written)-Watinaro; best firing-Hav Yaongsonla Chang (female) and c/n Y Thungbemo Lotha (male). All round best recruit- c/n Watinaro Ao and best in conduct- Shetalu Chakhesang. Passing out parade led by battalion adjutant Joy T Fithu.
