ICFAI University Nagaland (IUN) organised a ‘Talk on business ethics’ on Thursday.
According to ICFAI Asst. Registrar Imsumeren, resource person, Dr. Jimmy Teo, delved into various aspects of business decisions that involved socio-ethical dilemmas.
He said the best legacy that one could leave behind was the principle of honesty. Reading excerpts from his book, he said: “Some people who cannot handle problems correctly become problematic people who cause problems for others. Problems are humanly created and can be solved.” Dr. Teo emphasized that key to successful business include punctuality, honesty, hard work without the greed for more, the sense of appreciation, and healthy attitude.
The speaker was introduced by Rev. Dr. Nzan Odyuo, the principal of Crown College. Dr. Teo, the CEO of Educe Research & Consultancy at Singapore, is an Author and a Business Consultant. He has been associated with the Singapore Business, CNN, ABC and Straits Times.
Earlier, Dr. C. P. Alexander, the Principal of IUN, addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of ethics in every sphere of human existence. The programme was attended by the faculty, students and the staff of the University.
