Two Manipur bound trucks went off road, with one bearing registration MN-01-7149 loaded with cement crashing 50-60 feet below the road. The other truck bearing registration MN 01-5846 loaded with MS rods, perched at the edge of the road. Police said the incident took place near Dimori Cove Friday along the NH 39 between 1.30 to 2.30 p.m. The trucks, tagged with “Army Duty”, were reportedly moving under Assam Rifles escort. However, no casualty was reported, police added. The drivers reported the matter to Khuzama police station. Meanwhile, according to a report received from our Imphal Correspondent, the trucks were pushed down the gorge by some two-wheeler-borne miscreants while truckers halted at Jakhama for tea.
